Discussion Infinity Idol Disqualification

To our renowned Admin and distinguished staff, to my fellow co-participants and to all infinitians,

Good morning!

I am here to write an appeal for my disqualification and to ask for a motion for reconsideration.

First and foremost, I'd like to share to you that I have exerted a lot for that entry. I had to travel for 30 minutes to reach the studio where my entry was taken.

When I reached the place, the photographer wasn't there because he was covering a wedding event. So I had to wait for more than 2 hours. When he arrived, he said that the black cloth which was used as my background on my last pictorial's not available. He told me that he'll just enhance the background for me. I affirmed to what he said since I didn't want to give him much stress since he just got back from an exhausting event. That's why the background was like that and I'm really sorry. I wasn't able to recall that edited entries are not acceptable.

Nevertheless, I'm begging everyone of you to please spare me your consideration. I spent amounts for that outfit, my make-up and for the studio.
I wasn't even given any notice or info so that I can change my entry right away.

Please. I have never asked for anything in exchange to everything that I'm offering to the server. Just this time. Just that little amount of consideration. Please allow me to submit an unedited entry.

Please put into consideration that I really took time to make an effort for that event. I am already practice teaching, busy making lesson plans and class records, visual aids but I'm still able to join that event. That's because of my love and dedication towards the game. Please be more considerate.

I was a lil shocked that ur photo was photoshoped.
I've checked thread for idol registration and I didnt see a note that was always there: "No edited photos".
But I think u should know that :sadd:
Ofc u made a lot of effort to take this shoot but now I think it's a bit too late to change ur entry :<
I'm cheering for u but let's be fair with the other participants.

We never accepted edited pictures, just imagine if we let you to use that picture for participating there would be too much complains hows that she won it with edited picture? Also it would not be fair to let you join once again to others. next time you will know for sure.

And as far as I remember, this suggestion of mine was granted a couple of months ago but, it's still not implemented.

* Add a monthly theme.
For example, this month's most apt theme is Christmas.

I get and understand that point. I just hope that next time, if someone else is subject for disqualification, she/he will be informed ahead of time for her/him to be able to change her/his entry. Not like this. You disqualified me when I'm already leading the poll. That's totally embarrassing and degrading. The biggest frustration I've ever had. It's not fair for me.

okay since when we allowed edited pics/entries? we do not accept edited on report neither. you know that. im sorry bern im just up to the rules and If they will let u join again . just like nothing happened .

It's ok. I'm almost moving on. Just please, next time, if someone is to be disqualified, inform him/her ahead of time, or if not, do not include him/her in the poll so she/he will not expect. No frustration will take place. No hoping. No praying. No despair.

Clear. But when there's an event, will you look for the obsolete/old ones? Of course you'll look at the updated/latest. Enough of this. I know my mistake. I just hope the other party does as well.

Yeah. And he said, "next time don't edit your entry". He didn't tell me I will be disqualified. Me entry was then removed on the following day. That's why I'm at shock. I thought there's no problem.

I voted for you though B e r n, in fact you were about to win. Like everyone said your entry without Photoshop was stunning already. We have rules to follow, I think next time it should be clearly stated in the event thread to not confuse possible participants.

I have confession...

As my entry u can see that I write "Summer with Infinity Idol" .. actually the "Summer" is not concern my forum's name, its a theme!
Infinitians know my nick always be Scαrlεttε .. so why I change FN to Summer?

Here my confess~ I forgot to write my FN (Scαrlεttε) at the sand! xD
When I got home n transfer the picture (from my cellphone) to PC I just realize that! :zomgg:
What do I do? I know that we are not allowed to edit the pictures..
The time I got home is already evening and the beach is far away.. almost 1 hour to go there, so I cant go back to make another picture! :wacko:

So I just PM my entry to FLUPPY n tell him that I forgot to write my name in the picture,
But then he gave me advice to change my FN to Summer, thanks to him my problem is solved >.<

Sis Bern, ur non-edit picture is already stunning, but we GIRLS always want to be perfect, maybe thats why u choose to edit the background,
not to mention there is no note saying "edited pictures is not allowed" but we all know that every event thats using real pictures is always required non-edited pictures.

Don't worry Sis, u always can participate in the next event, so lets take this mistakes as something to learn

I would agree that Bern's disqualification shouldn't be done if we consider some facts that I will mention below in my post. Background wasn't that much important, of course if photoshop was used there's no place to discuss and we just don't have to accept her entry. We all know that she have won events with her look and never used photoshop. If we just accept that fact then she shouldn't be disqualified. Makes sense, right?

I saw 6 or 7 votes for her before Toby removed her position from the poll. Since people approved her and it was so obvious that photoshop was the background and the poll creator accepted the entry and listed it in the poll then they should have seen the photoshop edits but still voted for her. Why?

In the first place they shouldn't accept bern's entry coz it's pretty obvious edited and Since when we accept Edited Pics/Entries? If they didn't include Bern's Entry there's shouldn't have a problem or no one should will be disqualified. It's not bern's fault tho,

It was obviously a human error by accepting her's picture and set to be seen by many other people.
I've got a question - why should her be disqualified only after when the voting was already started and only moments after somebody needs to be punished even tho in real situations it would lead to DQ only if the person is in the competition does something completely wrong which is out of order. Then it might be acceptable, but since she didn't do anything wrong and she was accepted in the event there shouldn't be any other actions taken and to leave her inside in the game and starting from now after when the mistake has been made and noticed by all of the community - after may try to set the rules straight forward once for all, so anything like that never - ever happens again.

I think everyone just take this a lesson, first a lesson for the the poll maker S/He shouldn't accept any edited entries for this event and next time we should put in the thread of infi idol that no edited pics allowed Next lesson for the people who join the event that their entry shouldn't be edited only sotm can be edited :XD: anyways, for me bern should have a chance this time because it's not fair on her side that she'll be DQ. ))) just sayin'

I would say something, no matter if her background only was photoshoped, there are rules. And them says clearly that those kind of programms on the pics are strictly forbidden. I don't have anything against her, I don't care if she's woman, I'll be always the same towards everyone (boys or girls). I'm pretty sure that if this case were a man, there wouldn't even opinions, this only would get closed, but now it's a gorgeous woman.. that's why everyone is agree with give her a new oportunity. I don't want to write a wall xddd

I will just repeat this, there are rules, and is prohibited the Photoshop usage; No chance should be given.

Chavo, CRANZY accepted her entry, plus he added it in the event. Then after everyone said that the screenshot were edited he asked her for the non-edited screenshot. After it she just got disqualified? It's not fear. Also already she answered you:
