    IGN: BigStack

    Entry: Maahes Black Dragon Set
The black dragon Maahes was named after the Egyptian god of protection. He cares deeply about the good of mankind and true justice. However as a black dragon, people would wrongfully accuse him as a dragon who would destroy settlements whenever he comes by. Hence he decided to become human so nobody would reject his appearance and good intentions. He had a twin who was also once a black dragon, but they appear to always oppose each other's actions and decisions. Maahes prefers to only wear a pair of pants made out of his dragon scales for mobility. The lack of armor allows him to be agile during battles and also to catch up with his twin sister whenever they fight. The Lion Shield he use represents justice and defending the helpless. This is also the only shield that can withstand against his twin's outstanding swordsmanship.

    Entry: Sekhmet Black Dragon Set
The black dragon Sekhmet was named after the Egyptian goddess of power and might. Sekhmet was so powerful as a dragon that she decided to go down into human form for the sake of challenge. This however have caused her to have an insatiable rage. Luckily, her black dragon twin always appear to oppose her whenever she wreaks havoc and innocent lives are put into danger. The Black Dragon Armor she wears and the Lion Sword she wields channeled most of her powers over the years of being worn.

    IMPORTANT DATES:
Final posting of entries will be on November 12, 2017. Don't wait until the last day to post your entries as this thread will close at any time during that day. When it does, posting of entries will be concluded and final. Polls begin shortly afterwards and the winner will be announced by the following weekend, around November 17, 2017. Given poll time might be extended if needed. Prizes will be given afterwards as soon as it's processed.

For this edition, our chosen Uber Sets (as well as the prizes) are:
    NYX DARK STEEL SET

    and
    KHONS DARK STEEL SET

    Goodluck!

Hints to win and some additional notes:
It is important to link Khons and Nyx as they are sister sets. Hence I set Maahes and Sekhmet as examples. Cloud and Garuda also relates with each other (check it out). There can only be one winner and bonus prizes might be added by the staff. Use real life mythology as reference if you have to, but heavily copy pasted entries would not even make it to the polls. Possible context for Edition 3: Virtus, Horus, or neither.

Nyx was relatively known to the Ancient Greek Mythology as the goddess of night. Nyx was associated to as the nightfall in Greek ancient history. She was the beauty that feared through all the ancient history, long before the titans gave birth of its existence. Nyx was inlove by the night sky where she lingers every night. She fall inlove with another god and since then she never looked down to the night sky ever. She so loved the moon that she gave her immortality just to be with the moon. Since then Nyx was never seen since daylight but ever so at peace along the moon with the night sky forever. Legend says whomever wore the Nyx's Dark Steel set can gain her immortality and be feared by the land like Nyx herself.

He sacrificed his immortality and surrendered his mighty power to the night. Khons was never seen again at sunrise but shined so bright along his beloved night sky. The moon and the night intertwined and created his mighty Dark Steel set. Legend says to equipe his power one must bined it with her loved ones Dark Steel set to forever grant Nyx's and Khons great love and immortality.

    Entry:Nyx Dark Steel Set
In Greek mythology, Nyx is the Goddess of the Night. She is usually seen riding in a chariot, trailing stars and painting the night sky accompanied with her two sons, Hypnos and Thanatos. Nyx is one of the ancient Protogeno, the basic components of the universe, the first born elemental gods and goddesses. She was actually not born on this Earth. She was born before the Earth, Gaia, was created. Nyx's parent is Chaos, and her sister is Gaia, while her brother is Erebus. Together they were the universe to the ancient Greeks. Nyx is the the only goddess that Zeus feared because she was more powerful and older than him. As a Protogeno, Nyx is mother of many deities. With Erebus she conceived Moirae, the three fates; Aither, the light; Hemera, the day; Hypnos, the sleep, and Thanatos the death. Some stories say she conceived Khaos the air with Hesiod. Others say she was a daughter of Khaos. Nyx's home is a gloomy house located in Tartarus in the depths of Hades' underworld. During the day, Nyx stays home take care of her many spirited children. In the evening every day she leave her home to start her nightly journey. He travels cover the day with darkness to allow the world to rest. Nyx is very different from most goddesses. She can either be helpful or harmful to mankind. Nyx can bring you either sleep or death depending on the situation. Agate represents Nyx because it's great for keeping bad dreams away. Also it can protect against stress.Moonstone is also used to honor Nyx. It should be used during a full moon. It's said that moonstone is a reflection of the person who owns it. It's a good stone for young women and teenagers because it aligns them with the universe and helps them find their rightful place.

    Entry:Khons Dark Steel Set
Khonsu (Khons, Chons, Khensu) was a god of the moon and time. His cult center was at Thebes where he was part of a triad with Amun and Mut. He was one of the companions of Thoth (who was also associated with the moon and the measurement of time). It was thought that he could influence the fertility of both the people and their livestock and one myth (recorded on the walls of the Ptolemaic temple of Khonsu at Karnak) gives him a prominent role in the creation of the universe. He was also revered as a god of healing, as is recorded in the story of the "Princess of Bekheten". It was said that he personally healed the pharaoh Ptolemy IV (who took the epithet "beloved of Khonsu who protects the king and drives away evil spirits" in thanks for the gods help) and he was also thought to extend his protection to the common people. As a result, many Egyptians were named after him. However, he also had a darker side. During the early part of Egyptian history, Khonsu seems to have been considered to be a violent and dangerous god. He appears in the "Cannibal hymn" (part of the Pyramid Texts) as a blood-thirsty deity who helps the deceased king to catch and eat the other gods and the Coffin Texts describe him as "Khonsu who lives on hearts". Yet, by the New Kingdom he was worshipped primarily as the gentle and compassionate son of Amun and Mut. There has been some dispute regarding the meaning of his name. Some scholars have suggested that it represented the royal placenta (transliterated as h-nisw), but it is now generally held that it was derived from the word "khenes" (hns) meaning "to cross" or "to travel" (referring to his journey across the sky). However, he was also known by the more specific names; "Khonsu nefer hotep" (in Thebes) was described as the "lord of Ma´at", an epithet he shared with Ptah. When there was a new moon he was known as the "mighty bull" and during the full moon he was associated with a neutered bull. This god not only ruled the month, but he also supposed to possess absolute power over the evil sprits which infested earth, air, sea, and sky, and which made themselves hostile to man and attacked his body under the forms of pains, sickness, and diseases, and produced decay, and madness, and death. He it was, moreover, who made plants to grow, and fruit to ripen, and animals to conceive, and to men and women he was the god of love. As "Khensu-pa-khart" he was the personification of the light of the crescent moon. He was also thought to help women conceive children and help the livestock to breed successfully. This aspect of the god also has an association with fresh air, and hence the god Shu. "Khonsu pa-khered" ("Khonsu the Child") was described as the "first great son of Amun", the son of the goddess Nubt, and an aspect of the god Ra. Like Ra-Horakhty he was thought to be a child in the morning and an old man in the evening. He was also characterised as, a youth at the beginning of the year, who cometh as a child after he had become infirm, and who reneweth his births like Disk. Thus Khensu-pa-khart was both the spring sun, and the spring moon, and also the moon at the beginning of each month, in fact, the symbol of the renewed light of the sun and moon, and the source of generation and reproduction. In these aspects he could be linked to Horus, Ra, or Min. He was also known as "Khonsu pa-ir-sekher" ("Khonsu the provider" -Chespisichis to the Greeks) and "Khonsu heseb-ahau" ("Khonsu, decider of the life span"). The Great Temple of Khonsu was built in the precinct of the temple of Karnak. It was begun by Ramesses III, in the New Kingdom but expanded by a number of later rulers. There were three shrines dedicated to specific aspects of the god; "The Temple of Khensu", "The Temple of Kenshu in Thebes, Nefer-hetep" and "The Temple of Khensu, who works his plans in Thebes". Other forms of the god were probably worshipped in the main portion of the temple as aspects of the moon god. Different aspects of this god could actually converse with each other! For example, the Bentresh Stela (created in the 4th century BC but claiming to record a statement of Ramesses II) describes how a Khonsu approaches Khonsu pa-ir-sekher, a manifestation of himself in order to free a foreign princess from a hostile spirit. Khonsu was also associated with a number of other gods. In Khumnu (Hermopolis) he was called "Khonsu-Djehuti" associating him with Thoth. While in Thebes, Khonsu was associated with Ra, Shu, Min and Horus. During the later period Osiris and Khonsu were known as the two bull and represented the sun and the moon respectively.
Although firmly associated with Amun and Mut at Thebes at Kom Ombo Khonsu was considered to be the son of Sobek and Hathor (again linking him to Horus) and in Edfu he was considered to be the son of Osiris and known as "the son of the leg" (the leg being the part of the dead king's body which was thought to have been found in that nome). He was usually depicted as a young mummiform man in the posture of a mummy. In his role as the young son of Amun he generally wears the sidelock of youth and the curved beard of the gods. He often wears a full lunar disc resting in a crescent moon as a headdress and carries a crook and flail in his hands (linking him with the pharaoh and Osiris). Ocassionaly he bears a staff topped by the Was (representing power) or the Djed (representing stability). He generally wears a loose necklace with a crescent-shaped pectoral and a counterpoise in the shape of an inverted key-hole. In his mummiform aspect he looks so similar to Ptah that the only way to tell them apart is to check his necklace as the counterpoise worn by Ptah is a different shape.Khonsu could also be depicted as a falcon-headed man, but unlike Horus or Re his headdress is sometimes topped by a lunar, not solar symbol. Like Thoth he was associated with the baboon, but was only rarely depicted in this form. During the later period he may be depicted on plaques as fully human or in his falcon-headed form, together with his parents Amun and Mut, He may also be depicted standing on the back of a crocodile, like Horus. As "Khensu, the chronographer" he wears the solar disk on his head and holds a stylus in his right hand. Khonsu was also a great lover of games, especially senet. He was also frequently recorded playing a game of Senet against Thoth.

    Entry: Nyx Dark Steel Set
Nyx was the Primordial Goddess of the Night, darkness, shadows, the veil, fertility and prophecy. She is a shadowy figure in Greek mythology but from the extracts about her, it can be gleaned that she was a figure of great beauty and power. She is considered one of the most powerful deities, as can be seen when Hypnos, the god of sleep and her son, fled from Zeus after putting him to sleep on Hera's orders, so she could punish Heracles without Zeus's interference. She was born from the giant cosmic being called Chaos, and was a Protogenoi, an ancient being that existed long before the Olympians. With Erebus, her sibling, she gives birth to Aether, and Hemera. Nyx is an essential part of the Greek creation myth, and was integral in the legend.

    Entry: Khons Dark Steel Set
Khons, also known as Khonsu or Khensu, was the Egyptian god of the moon, Time, Youth and healing. He is the son of Amun and is also associated with Thoth. His name derives from the root, "Khens" which means to travel, to move about, to run. He was associated with the placenta of the pharaoh. Ancient Africans wrote about Khons in the earliest Pyramid and coffin texts as the aggressive spirit who aligned himself with the deceased king to put down enemies in the Underworld, devouring their life force to absorb their strength for the benefit and protection of the King. Khons was much venerated at Thebes and also worshipped at Ombos where he formed the third person in the triad of Sebek under the name Khons Hor, who was represented as a man with a falcon's head surmounted with a disk in a crescent moon.

    Entry: Nyx Dark Steel Set

Nyx, the Goddess of the Night. She was a figure of great beauty and power. Legends say that when darkness engulfed the continent of MU, people will see the Goddess soaring through the sky with her chariot and her infamous shield, which was later known as "Ambition" due to its effects that enhance the user's desire to achieve the impossible. Although she has magnificence and might, the Goddess feels empty inside because every time she comes out to the world, darkness always follows her. However, that changes when she met Khons, the God of the Moon. He illuminates through the darkness that follows her. The two deity’s compatibility was undeniably strong that they decided to meet up every day at the same time, thus creating the cycle that the people of the continent of MU today called the “Night and Day.”

    Entry: Khons Dark Steel Set

Khons, the God of the Moon. He was known as the “Pathfinder” and the “Defender” of the travelers who venture into the darkness of the night. Khons was a powerful god on his own; however he was often overlooked because he was not as luminous as his counterpart Apollo, the God of the Sun. As time goes on, citizens of the continent of MU will go on without knowing his existence as he was not visible in the sky due to the brightness of the sun. However, that changes when He met Nyx, the goddess of the night. The darkness that she brings enables him to achieve his full potential. Khons, The God of the Moon, and Nyx, the Goddess of the Night, covers each other’s weaknesses that together they become an unstoppable force.

    Entry: Nyx Dark Steel Set

The goddess Nyx or Nyks (Νύξ - referred to as "recurrence", in ancient Greek meaning "night") is the night goddess of Khaos directly in Greek mythology, the nightly goddess of the night. Nyx, depicted in the shadows as a woman who was powerful but rarely involved in events, was believed to be visible only on earth, only in the shadows, but for a short period of time. Nyx, like himself, combined with the "darkness" (Erebos), derived from Khaos, giving birth to Hemera (day) and Aether (a high, blue, shimmering layer of worship). There are also a variety of gods and gods that Nyx has brought to spontaneity: Hypnos and his twin brother Thanatos, the god of death Moros, the god of old age Geras, the god Momos representing the embodied state of censorship and slander, the god of revenge Nemesis, Apate, the goddess of misery Oizys, the goddess of sexual attraction and unification Filotes, the goddess of corruption-mischief Eris. One of them, called Oneiroi, is one of the mythological beings that Euripides said to be black wingers and dream gods, according to Hesiodos, that Nyx brought to fruition, one of the most famous of them is Morpheus. The antagonism of Nyx in Roman mythology is Nox, with the meaning of "night" being preserved.

    Entry: Khons Dark Steel Set

Khaos (χάος) in Greek mythology is the first of the gods that emerged during the creation of the universe. These earliest or first gods, collectively referred to as protogenoi, represent the mythological personification and representation of the components of the universe such as earth, sky, air, sea, darkness, light, underground, and time. In these components, Khaos, meaning "space", "interval", corresponds to the gap between the earth and sky, ie, the air. The atmosphere is the lower layer that touches and surrounds the earth. But after the poet Hesiodos, this original meaning of Khaos changed gradually by the influence of Orphism, and in Khaos it became clear that some kind of universe hapla where the elements were together in a chaotic mixture before the universe came to the water. In Theogonis of Hesiodos, it is said that Khaos is the constituent of the five universe or the trinity of the god: Gaia - the earth; Tartaros - underground pit; Eros - love; Erebos - dark; Nyx - at night. Khaos is the father, and he is a goddess of fate, such as Nyx, daughter of a god, and goddesses of destiny (Moirai). The philosopher Heraclitus thinks of Khaos as a source of assets.

Entry : Nyx Dark Steel set
NYX is the Goddess of Night and bringer of darkness. Legends describe her as powerful and mysterious, often seen as she departs from the depths of the underworld, riding in her chariot which is drawn by two black stallions. She rides the sky and paints it in total darkness. Nyx source of power is from her dark steel armor which is blacker than black and radiates with everlasting darkness.
It is fabled that whoever wields its armor grants its user the power to crush mountain boulders and divide the seas with a single stroke. But if the person is unworthy, the moment it is worn, the power will be discomforting and the lust for evil and self destruction will reign in the user.
Because of this, she was revered and feared at the same time. Her wrath can cause death and decay. Able to engulf and devour anything into the pitch black darkness. But she is also fair and sympathetic, allowing the world to rest after a long tiring day.
Together with Khons, the God of Moon, they symbolize the passage of time and cycle of life.
For their arrival in the sky marks the transition from day to night.

Entry : Khons Dark Steel Set
Khons, the God of Moon, known also as the "Traveller" and "Silver Sun".
He traverse the sky in his valiant armor and mighty scepter which were forged from the birthplace of the cosmos. He is worshipped for he promotes fertility and growth through out the land.
One flick of his mighty scepter turns the tides and changes the weather. Also feared by many for his temperament often casting violent thunderstorms to hide its presence in the sky.
Khons power go hand in hand with the power of Nyx, the Goddess of night.
As Nyx covers the sky in darkness, it allows Khons scepter to radiate its silver rays ominously up in the night sky. With both of them, they give the night sky its mystic beauty and luster.
It is believe that once both powers are harnessed, the power of destruction as well as creation can be achieved.

    Entry:Nyx Dark Steel set
Nyx is known the deity that personified at night. It is especially remarkable by the ancient Greek poets, but its great significance in Greek mythology goes beyond simple literary contexts. Nyx was a dominant primitive and cosmogenic form, which was fearful and respected even by the god Zeus itself. Her form was that of a beautiful woman with large black wings..
Nyx is still referred to as the daughter of Fanita, who succeeded him.
Then, while delivering the scepter to her son Uranus, she continues to advise both him and the next generations,Saturn and especially Zeus,on how to create the world..According to the Hesiod's Theogony,Nyx was born from Chaos and by a virgin birth(without a father). There was her own dedication to the temple of Demeter in the Greco-Roman Pergamon..

    Entry:Khons Dark Steel Set
Khonsu is ancient Egyptian god of the moon and time. His name means ''traveller''.At ancient city Thebes he formed part of a family triad(the ''Theban Triad'')with Mut as his mother and Amun his father. As the light god of the night,Khonsu protect people against wild animals and heal them.Khonsu ability to Heal is known to many countries close to Egypt because many people was healed with Khons help.It was said that he personally healed the pharaoh Ptolemy IV.Khonsu also have a important role in the creation of the universe..However,he also had a dark side.During the early part of Egyptian history,Khonsu seems to have been considered to be a violent and dangerous god..
Nyx and Khons are sister sets because both sets have a very strong relation with the night.Nyx is the night godess and Khons is the moon god who show his light only in the darknesss of the night.Their combination release all the powers of the night and the moon. Also Nyx and Khons are sister sets because both gods helped to the creation of the universe and the world we live...

    Entry: Nyx Dark steel set
NYX was the goddess of the night, one of the primordial gods (protogenoi) who emerged as the dawn of creation.

She was a child of Khaos (Chaos, Air), and coupling with Erebos (Darkness) she produced Aither (Aether, Light) and Hemera (Day). Alone she spawned a brood of dark spirits including the three Fates, Sleep, Death, Strife and Pain.

Nyx was an ancient deity usually envisaged as the very substance of the night--a veil of dark mists drawn across the sky to obscure the light of Aither, the shining blue of the heavens. Her opposite number was Hemera (Day) who scattered the mists of night at dawn.

In ancient art Nyx was depicted as a either a winged goddess or charioteer, sometimes crowned with an aureole of dark mists.

Entry : Khons Dark Steel Set
Khons, also spelled Khonsu or Chons, in ancient Egyptian religion, moon god who was generally depicted as a youth. A deity with astronomical associations named Khenzu is known from the Pyramid Texts (c. 2350 bce) and is possibly the same as Khons. In Egyptian mythology, Khons was regarded as the son of the god Amon and the goddess Mut. In the period of the late New Kingdom (c. 1100 bce), a major temple was built for Khons in the Karnak complex at Thebes. Khons was generally depicted as a young man with a side lock of hair; on his head he wore a uraeus (rearing cobra) and a lunar disk. Khons also was associated with baboons and was sometimes assimilated to Thoth, another moon god associated with baboons. However these two god and godesses combined thier power to create this powerful set(Dark Steel set) for thier immortality. these set is divides into two. They will become mortal when they are seperately individuals. To become more powerful they need to combine as one.
