Ati graphic card help

hello admins... i would like to get a little help with my lappy here... i got an hp pavilion dv6-3133TX with switchable graphic card ati mobility radeon HD 5470... but the amd website doesnt give any previous version of drivers anymore... can anybody help me with this pls??? client auto closes...

I read your thread more thoroughly and saw that amd doesn't support Catalyst 11.1 on their website anymore.

What Os are you running?

yes iv tried that... but they dont give 11.1 drivers anymore... i got 11.5...

Hmmm,,

seems like you have to download from a trustable 3rd party website,

any here it is

Download from here,
(download the one for the Os you are using)

for XP 32 bit --> DOWNLOAD

for XP 64 bit --> DOWNLOAD

for vista/win7 32 bit--> DOWNLOAD


for vista/win7 64 bit--> DOWNLOAD

Install it properly
restart PC

ok ill try this and give you a feedback after ty...

still ddnt work... i uninstalled my old driver and installed this... but i think its not compatible for my graphic card... standard vga is all that shows up on my device manager....

btw i got windows 7 ultimate 64bit installed on my lappy

Sorry for the late reply, I was in school

Try this once:

- boot your Pc in safe mode while
- Turn off anti-virus
- un-install old driver and install the 11.1 driver
- restart Pc, this time boot in normal mode
- run Infinity in windows mode and test all the resolutions (does not run on full screen)

The latest driver for my ATI GPU is v13.1 and the game works,try it too.

ddnt work actually... tried downloading the latest version... it says not compatible with switchable graphics capable laptops... wont let me install 13.1... :/ anybody who can help??? :/

tried that also smigglez ddnt work... :/

First of all , please know that we are trying to excrete every bit of effort on to your problem. Please do not be impatient, If you want a QUICK and SURE solution then spend a bit of extra cash and buy a new Graphic Card.

anyway ,
If downgrading to 11.1 and upgrading to 13.1 still did not work then I know of 1 last option. Lets try 10.4

Try this:

Boot on safe mode

1. Uninstall your current version of Catalyst and it's drivers with Drive Cleaner
DOWNLOAD

2. Download ati Catalyst 10.4 from HERE

3. Install

4. Reboot (normally)

5. Launch MU

im using a laptop sir... smigglez... if only i could change its graphic card then why not... anyway gonna try your last guide and hope it works... tnx...
