Maybe the drivers installed is for Windows XP. Because you said, you upgraded it to Windows 7 right?
Then.. maybe your drivers aren't compatible with windows 7. Try to download all the drivers for windows 7.

try to reformat into the computer shop and try to ask the technician to put original OS
not came into the google, cuz from google some of the downloads files are not in license
well, im using window 7 ultimates laptop / pc. works fine on me.

1. check your specs
2. try to go Original OS not in downloading in google
3. check your connection.
