Sorry for giving so many suggestions but its hard to understand your problem and I think its best to do trial and error till you find a proper solution.

Also if you like you can temporarily change the language of your computer I think with windows 7? Then a member of the forums can teamviewer and try helping you.

Davy, you haven't set any compatibility mode right? Your mu.exe properties should work like this:

Tried already to run AutoUpdate.EXE? Nothing happens? Probably some software prevents your client from start or your OS is damaged. Other programs work for you?
