I think some1 can help me here look at that : 
can you connect or you just stuck in the launcher?,did you install any new software?
go to Control Panel > Recovery > Open System Restore ,and restore your system to earlier time before the client stopped working.
uninstall any useless software on your PC.
if Firewall/Anti-Virus isn't the cause and you tried System Restore then last thing is reformatting your PC (re-install Windows).

Now on the topic, try disabling all the services that boot from msconfig and than restart and try connecting...

Try to open your mu update and then if can't open re-install client or try to reformat your p.c Thanks
