Game Update Server Interruptions [11/07/2015]

Hello Infinitians,

Unfortunately, our servers had small interruption earlier today and sadly that the Castle Siege Event wasn't successful this weekend for first time from years of InfinityMU history. For this issue the registered guilds shall receive their Sign of Lord packs back to Guild Masters warehouses.

The server interruption happened due an large DDoS attack over the InfinityMU servers. The attack is going on all the day long and right now it's still active and hitting our servers and it's almost 24 hours. Our DDoS mitigation system is working as well to keep the gameplay like before. You should be able to connect and play normally, but in case if any interruptions appear again just know that it's being worked on and server will get better soon because this attacks is from new kind and probably new exploit in the global internet and DDoS attacks. You know that haters gonna hate. Lets be strong community and stay together. God bless and take care!

In this case just go to your InfinityMU folder and run mu.exe. Anyway the auto update should work now.

hello guys I just finished re downloading the client after 3 years of being inactive since my old one isn't working properly
is this connected on the current server problem? or its just my client?

Usa host it already, for years in usa host non had ddos us, since we are potion delay they wouldn't have problem with pots right?

Run mu.exe instead. It's in your InfinityMU main folder.

Currently the servers are under attacks and the 100gbps AntiDDoS shield can't handle it. We back online and go offline few times a day. This days players will play the game with little interruptions because our system can't handle sometimes the attacks.


The servers are into migration to another dedicated server with software and new hardware which will prevent the recent attacks which are from new kind and the current and very promised Anti-DDoS shield from the biggest hosting company in Europe we have cannot handle this kind of attacks. The server will be alright as soon as possible and will remain in EU, Paris. Wait for further announcements and thanks for the support and understanding. InfinityMU Forever!​

When we move back to european host this always happens, I think its about time to be in USA host again. Because we the people love playing your sever, We always want for the best. So for now I really think moving to a different host will do.. Not being selfish about the host but I think its what we really need. Since there's potion delay we would have a problem with people complaining about differential pot rate. We had USA host for about 3-4 years and there wasn't a bad DDos as this one.


Plus about donation, People always donate to get items and plus this money you get is for a stable game play. We give a good amount of money to pay for the sever. So we shouldn't have a problem with money to move to a self stable Usa Host, plus with people don't care about host anymore since there's potion delay, They only relay on item wise now. :}
