I played this server for over a year now. The server is changed into 100% cheat free(well, is it?). I noticed that some players are still using cheats, specially on SpeedHacks, AutoPots, Auto Combo. This server is suppose to be a FAIR PLAY I'm just voicing out what i have noticed for the past months. And I really really hate cheaters, well are you too?? Someone must do something about this, Otherwise it will spread and ruin the whole server causing chaos.


PLS. BE FAIR.. PLAY FAIR.. I hope this Cheat thing will stop ..

everyday there's somebody creating new cheats.. so it's impossible for resistant to block every cheat cuz of what i've already said.


if you find new cheats or if there's a cheat working right now just send it to venci for block it

Great effort in making this thread bro, I am happy that you are also concerned with this subject matter. But the only thing we can do now is to turn on our Fraps or other FPS recording software and make legitimate reports on the Game-Hackers/cheaters.

Let me try to put it in the simplest manner that I can,

Every time our coders manage to block a cheat, the cheat coders manage to make even stronger cheats that by-passes the new mu-guard made by our coders/administrators to combat the past cheat. It's like a virus, every time new anti-viruses are developed, bastards who want money make a developed virus that gets pass the anti-virus. That is the reason why we need to try and post new cheats/game hacks that we have learned so that our server's mu guard database is up-to-date to lessen the game hacks that can by pass the game.

In a simpler way of saying it, as long as cheat coders exist in our world, there is no such thing as a 100% cheat-free server. Please do Understand that Not even a Webzen server is 100% cheat free


Even if our beloved Infinity MU is not really 100% cheat-free,we should cherish that IT IS ONE OF THE MOST PROTECTED COMPARED TO OTHER MU SERVERS.

I do not know how to detect cheaters aswell but
As far as I know Asmos,Eager, and Cozy know how to determine whether someone is using a Game-Hack/Cheat by looking at In-Game Videos. Hopefully someone will post in the forums on "How to Detect/Determine Game-Hackers/Cheaters"

yeah you are practically right that we can't stop this problem, HOWEVER! as a responsible member of this community it is our obligation to and responsibility to report every game-hackers/cheaters we find/detect.

thats right.. well how about when some player is in game suddenly it laaged is it the player or the server.. i reall dont know wat is a bug user.. just like when RESi banned the player that abusing bug. what bug does REsi mean??

Everybody hate cheaters, but it is impossible to block every single one of them.
As I've mentioned before, as long as MuGuard is being updated, the developers of these cheats are constantly updating their programs as well.
This is the same reason why new versions of anti-viruses are constantly released, to fend off latest viruses, in our context, latest cheats and hacks.

As a community, we have to do out part by reporting these hackers so the admin can block off these players. To top it up, it would be better if we could send any working hacks we find.
It takes 2 hands to clap.

I am no expert in identifying them that well, but there are some traits to it.

Speed hack: Kills you in one hit, but seasoned users will know how to adjust the speed to make it look undetectable.
Player.bmd: This is a little tricky, but there will be no reflect damage from the opponent. (Makes your character invincible if you're using it. Slightly similar to SH)
Auto pots/Combo: Needless to say, I believe everyone knows how to identify them.

Recently, If you've seen the ban list, there are people banned with Hit count hack. Since I can no longer see the report section, I don't know what it does, so I can't help you with this. Hopefully some GMs or supporters will clarify with us!

Can't do anything about it,there will be always new cheats,if you think someone using illegal programs then just take proof (screenshot/video) and report.
We always send working cheats that we find to RESiSTANT to block,if you found working cheat then send it too.

well Mage tell us how to determine an Auto COmbo/Pots USer?? or a SpeedHack perhaps.. :/ i really want to catch all the players who were using such cheats in game. They're ain't playing FAIR.

Well, 3FFiN3 trust me this game has the best anticheat. I mean atm no1 muonline game has powerful anticheat system like InfinityMU. And cheaters, in everywhere have cheaters. Our job(Fair players) is catching this nabs and report. Venci doing his best to make InfinityMU clear. I mean he is blocking every program when he had. But we always facing newer versons.

If you are experienced player then you will know it directly (except ap, for Ap we have to wait their fail :x )

ps: if you are a programmer you can cheat even no HACK's . you can edit your character using file reader, am i right ?

We are doing almost of our best to make the game fair to everyone. As you can see we don't tolerate cheaters and ban list is always updated every day. You can help stopping some players from using hacks by making video if you suspect someone using speed apps or auto combo etc. Or if you found some illegal and working program send it to support@infinitymu.net you can also note your account name for reward (not ban, but credits reward ^^).

Interesting discussion has started up 'bout.

There are serves in TOP which ain't got no troubles with cheaters. Now I've got no idea whether it's 'cause of the version, as season 3 is stone age, or whether it's 'cause of the ''anti-hack'' - too weak, innit. I remember a server in top 10 had had similar troubles for quite long time 'bout 2 years ago. They did some strict measures and no problem has occurred since then. Except very few bug abusers, but that ain't sh*t.

Anyway, I'll tell ya couple of things:

1. Stop allowing MU skins. Make more strict policy and make the game only accessible for people using THE ORIGINAL GAME FILES.

2. I don't know how the MU Guard is set up here, but it's got possibility not to allow access on server if certain change from players' side has been done with client such as skin change, .bmd change, etc.

Client-sided changes should not have any effects on the server database, as opposed to server-sided such as player.bmd.
So skins are generally not a problem. Moreover most of the skins uses .bmd extensions.

Our version could be outdated, but MuGuard definitely isn't.
