Hi i wont make this long but one thing i notice from the registration for forum accounts is that is way way way easy. I know we all accept newcommers freely but it may also be a problem since dew can only know those newly made accounts. Excoet for mods/gm/ and staff members. But what if we can make the registration for forum accounts a little bit secured for the forums.

1.) Account bind forum account: after making a forum account, the system will automatically request an account bind from these: Facebook and Google. These two social kedia sites will give off codes to verify the forum account. This is for the security measurements of the forums. It will also serve as a guideline for gm’s/mods to find out the account owners for future ban investigations and malicious activities happening around.

2.) Cellphone number account bind. “Same as the account bind from Steam” where players can manually bind their cellphone numbers from their local countries ofc. This will also help in account recovery system wherein a one in a lifetime recovery code will be given to the recipient of those cellphone numbers so that when recovering an account, those recovery codes will serve as the redirectory for “change pass” . Please make a mobile app for InfinityMU forum.

I think only those two would be enough for the security of the forum just in case any malicious activities are suspected, staff team can easily pin point who/whoever have these malicious accounts. This will also abide in the forum rules. I’ve read the forum rules before posting this and i dont see a contradiction to this. This is only a suggestion, and it would be a great thing for the community to have this just for added security in our forums. Negative and positive feedbacks are always welcome as long as its nit a spam. Thanks.

I can make several fake accounts even with those methods applied. And from different IP's. It wouldn't change anything. It's nice that you try to think of a new ways to prevent rule breakers, but that is why we are here

Why are you always thinking better than mine lol hahaha. You have a very good point. Now i regret this auggestion. But i will stand on my suggestion.. it will make the forums more active itself rather than the staff checking up on everything. It would be less work for staff team as well.

Honestly that's too much procedure, this isn't NASA forums. Yeah a lot of people registers trying to fake accounts but unfortunately for them we always have skilled moderators who caughts those who tries to have multiple accounts, BeN is a good example of it .


Like Kron said, it's easy to fake account even with those security. Example how do you make your free trial PZ accounts? With the need of creating Gmail accounts, steam, verify and everyone still do it weekly :cerrado:

I don't agree with this suggestion, also it's gonna be useless 'cuz of what Kronwell said... I met people in-game that I encouraged to create a forum account to join events we have in here, to make the forum more lively, sadly most of their reply was they don't know how to make one (or just lazy), even when we already have a video guide tutorial posted at the home page... and then with your suggestion, it's just gonna make some people even more lazy to create a forum account. Let's make it easier for these newbies.

Well said i just thought of that now xD and the means of creating this suggestion is to open up future passicve forums which means forums will do its work and less work for staff teams. To be honest im on your side. i just want to share this idea maybe hoping it would be inplemented. Wrath and kron gave the detailed effect on it and Syd delivered the period to this suggestion. I guess its safe to say that this suggestion is regardless since few players engage on forums. But hey, im just suggestin..

This pretty much explains why such procedures will not be applied. There is just no need to make things harder for people. Thank you for trying to come up with new features though.
