Webshop Currency UpdateBetter Stability, Lower Prices!
Hello Infinitians!
To ensure better price stability and lower transaction fees for everyone, the webshop is officially transitioning its primary currency from USD to Euro (EUR).
If you are used to paying in USD, don't worry—the prices have actually decreased. The core value of all our items remains completely unchanged. As an added benefit to our community, almost all of our new EUR prices feature a slight discount compared to their previous USD equivalents.
Why The Change?Our server infrastructure and hosting bills are paid directly in Euros (OVHcloud - EU based company). Previously, accepting USD meant we had to rely on PayPal's internal currency conversion to cover these ongoing costs. Unfortunately, PayPal's conversion rates from USD to EUR are notoriously poor and eat into the funds meant to keep the server running smoothly. By switching the webshop directly to EUR, we avoid these unfavorable conversion fees entirely—and we get to pass those savings directly on to you!
What Does This Mean For You?Because the Euro has a different conversion rate than the US Dollar, the numbers in the shop look different. However, when you convert the new EUR prices back to USD, you are paying less than before.

Example: If you previously donated $25.00 USD, you will now select the €19.90 option, which will only cost you roughly $23.02 USD at checkout. The same goes for larger donations like the Tier-3 Uber Deimos: previously $50.00 USD, now just €39.99 (roughly $46.28 USD).
