Hello my friends,I have talked from time to time to people who are having problems with the internet connection,lags and other problems concerning the gameplay.Well you know that these things could happen and occur from different sources.Your computer is like a very very big and advanced network where everything is linked together and when you get a problem,it's source can be very different and you could think of a very different source.For me and my experience there are multiple solutions that could make your gaming better and you can have more fun.
A recommendation for everyone who loves playing in our server:
*Don't use a dialup connection,you won't be satisfied with the results.
*and if you can get a bigger than 1mbs connection it will be awesome for you.Over 1 mbs is enough but the higher the number,even better
You can keep it mind your latency - it means the information you send to the game servers and receive back,the lower the number,the better When you get laggs in game,latency is the source you seek for the laggs.
Always close programs who are connected to the internet 24/7,they will slow down your play.
First off,let me say a few short things about the router,these tips can still help you.Check the if your router has the option of prioritizing the network traffic.You know that the traffic is determined on the package transfer,you can always look at your traffic in the your start menu bar,on the far right,where your internet icon is.Most of the expensive routers have a option of prioritizing the internet traffic it's quality options,have in mind that not every router has it,which if you do it you will get a specific traffic boost on your InfinityMu.Even without those prioritizing options in the router,there is still the possibility with the combination with a package filtering exception,I admit I have not gone into that exception,so I can't tell you about it.But bear in mind a second modem or connection won't help you very much,the problem doesn't 100% need to be in your connection.There are several things you can do if you have a connectivity problem like restarting your modem/router or unplug the cable and plug it back in,or in the end where nothing works you can call your customer service.
Second tip - you must take care of your computer.There are many programs that can clean your pc,remove unwanted files and do many more.Before you put a antivirus software always bear in mind and check the program and the users opinion about it,because you can easily download a useless antivirus which can bring you more problems than it can solves,everyone knows there are such antiviruses,and very well known too.Use a cleaning program to remove the junk files in your windows drive disk,because from all the internet and from all the things you installed on your computer,many other files are kept in the folders of your Windows drive disk.Always clean up the useless files,you could use the option on your Windows drive,Clean disk.Many problems could occur from malware and viruses.Going to untrusted websites could be a bad idea,keep in mind the fact that a 100% risk secure antivirus is not created yet,so don't go into sites that you don't know what is in them.You could have a bad experience.
Always try to leave off around 10GB of space in your Windows drive disk,because the less crowded the disk is,your computer will run better.Having the windows disk full of stuff and useless files will harden the work of the computer.Keep the pc in a place where the possibility of getting full with dust is not that big,well of course dust is everywhere but once in a while clean it,dust makes it even harder for the computer to run,you may experience a very slow performance and high temperature of the different components.
Third - run weekly or monthly checks on your computer about viruses,spyware,malware and all that sort of stuff,those little guys can get anywhere inside your computer,and sometimes they are not fatal,but if you leave it like that,in time you will experience a very slow computer.
Keep in mind if you have a wifi connection,the more users connect to it,the slower your game will be and they will take from your precious bandwidth.Be safe when having wifi,put up a monster strong password ^^.
Don't forget about the quality of service options in your router.
