Who ever can answer this question correctly WINS AN UBER SET OF HIS / HER CHOICE! The question is "A suitor for the hand of the princess was allowed to choose one of two pieces of ribbon in a vase. He was told that on one of the ribbons was written the word "lose." On the other ribbon he would find the word "win." If he picked "win," the princess was his. If he picked "lose," he would lose his head. One day, after many unlucky men had met the headsman, a clever suitor guessed that in reality, both of the ribbons said "lose." And in guessing this, he won the hand of the princess. How did he do it?" Good luck to all!"

Resistant replied:

Here's my answer ;)

He drew a piece of ribbon from the vase and breaked/destroyed it via swallowing or burning or other means. It would logically follow then that if the ribbon remaining in the vase read the word "lose" , the one the suitor picked must have read the word "win" .

it was a test of morals among the suitors. In reality the suitor knew that only we choose our own paths and not be manipulated or controlled by any other force. Thus the princess knew this suitor held a higher level of awareness for the spiritual laws of the universe....and he would not be influence by greed or lust as to bring harm to her family

The suitor simply realized that by choosing a random gamble could not ensnare the princesses attention. Those foolish enough to accept what they are told are bound to be left blinded to the world around them , as those willing to lose their heads. The suitor did not accept the gamble for affection but excelled in the action of intelligent thinking , by forging a new path from the flock he proved to be above the norm and worthy of the hand. =DDDDDD

Here my answer...

He breaks and puts in fire the ribbon, (or eats the ribbon) from the vase he chooses. For the answer to be known they must see what the other vase has, it will say "Lose" so, the other ribbon had to say "win". The king canĀ“t be seen as a liar, so he has to accept that in fact the missed ribbon had to say "win" even thought it didĀ“t. Thats how he won the princess. :)

This is my real answer.

he didn't choose any of the ribbons because he didn't saw the words printed in the two ribbons before he make a choice between the ribbons so he was guessing that both of the ribbons only indicate the word "lose"

"a clever suitor guessed that in reality, both of the ribbons said lose."

here goes my answer:

the suitor didnt choose either 1 of the ribbon instead he bow down to the king and chose to beheaded by the headsman
and the princess saw how his fate is more stronger than his mind then the princess chose him to be his prince..
and they live happily ever after..
the end :)

There was no "WIN" work in the vase, both of the ribbon contains the "LOSE" word... He realize that when so many people had tried and no one even got the princess...
He then realize that when he choose 1 of the ribbon his head will still be cutted that's why he did not pick any ribbon... And for the fack no king would give his princess
like that cause only foolish men would even try to do that thing, Only the man with no bad intention would not pick any...

P.S: All of the answer would be correct answer for those people who answered cause it is how they understand the question...

Since the suitor didn't want ribbons in a vase to determine his destiny, he had the courage to break the vase, and won the approval of the Headsman who did not want a man who was not willing to forge his own destiny to be with his daughter.
