As the name of thread says it all, I want to suggest an interesting forum game, that can be paired with in-game event. But only Moderators are able to do that.. I don't know if Event Masters can edit other people posts.. The game is easy. Somebody must create a new thread, where this game is going to happen. So the game host writes that he has hidden for instance an image of lollipop in somebodys post (only open threads), the prize for winner is points for levels here, or the usual 1 imes + 80 GC. But the host must be careful, because search option allows to find it, if it is a word. How I would do it..

I have hidden (I have not, that is an example) image of me in-game, my nickname is Kronwell.B, image is hidden in one of all the open threads we have, it might be under tags of url or it might be just an image in someones post, but you have to find it. If you find it, you will get 1 Wind ring. (Because I have hidden it very well and it is really hard to find it). When you find it, you must PM me the link of the post where you found the image. So, for instance, winner is Sava, I announce it on the games thread. Thats it. And so it keeps going that way.
 
This is not a bad idea
But it will be complicated to do each day and not everyone would have the time to organize themselves with our Event Masters/Game Masters
My suggestion is to make it a Weekly Event,each week a Moderator would update the post after the Event Master/Game Master has hid the item and each week there would be a different winner
 
Can EM's or GM's edit other peoples posts? The first problem is that there is always that text underneath the post that shows, that the post has been edited and by whom. So still got to figure out something for that. But yes, weekly event is good. Each week one lucky winner gets a chance to get 1W. If nobody gets it, then nobody gets it :D Next week again for 1W. But hidden objects must be hidden well. There are several ways I know, because I have hosted this event before. The game can actually make people spend hours of searching.. :D

Event Masters can do it in their section,so it wont be a problem,but what are the mods for in this case?
 
Moderators can edit every post. So they can edit random post in random open thread, hide the image randomly and just announce that something is hidden. I don't really think that this would be a work for EM's or GM's. Ofc, if moderators agree to actually make forum game like that..

If the Administrators agree
The MOD team agrees to host it :)!
 
But I want to know your opinion. What would be the prizes? My opinion is that the prizes must be given out by the difficulty of the task. For instance 1 hidden image under no tags, actual image like siggy, if you find it, you get 100 points in forum. 1 hidden image under url tags, finder gets 80 gc +1 imes. 3 hidden images, every one of them different. To win you must find all 3 of them, winner gets 1 wind acc. Something like that. I hope you got the idea. I can help a lot of creating the difficulty levels, giving ideas on HOW to hide the images. What to hide.. If needed, ofc.
 
Since the prizes from our staff are not acc winds,mostlikely it would be gold credits,the situation can be the following:
3 images hidden in the week - 1 player finds them,he wins 2000 gold credits
2 images hidden in the week - 1 player finds them,he wins 1000 gold credits
1 image hidden in the week - 1 player finds it,he wins 500 gold credits
And this goes on and on and on,if the Administrators agree on the prizes,maybe the will have a different view of it as well :)

I am sure everyone will join,when the event starts,
The only thing left is an approval of one of our Admins and the prizes and we can make it happen
So we will leave the thread like that until a decision,if someone wants to add something,feel free of course :)
 
I think the concept is somewhat similar with Sm0ky's event named Find The Word/Image. It's fun!
but do the players have to PM the link to the event host here in the forum?
 
Well, as I imagine that, yes, because the one who hid the images, is the one who can judge, did the user actually find the images. Ofc, if the thread is open, user, who found the images, can post link to the post in that thread. Free choice. Depends on that how Mods and Admins will decide to do. I cannot change that. And I did not know that something like that already was in here haha.. I can think of much more games for forum, if you think, that it is needed. I like to give ideas to people who can make them happen.
 
I support this forum game.I guess it would be fun for our fellow players ^^ :)
