Ask my mom. She probably knows.
Wats good in the hood there mates, been always here just lurking around from time to time. xd

Skipping some greetings, as the title says it, can I ask some of our good friends in the community to share their opinion on this gaming set-up I managed to list.

Points to remember:
- Probably stuck here at PH for another 2 years and I might not find other products that easily
- Probably I won't change parts as well for the next 2 years
- Sustainability since I won't change parts sooner
- Got only limited amount of money, can only afford until 1800 USD MAX (sad)
- I won't max until 1800 USD btw, cause I'll buy a monitor as well
- If you're abroad, prices might differ btw, due to tax, competitive pricing, etc
- Nevermind keyboards + mouses, etc.
- still very noob at this, help a dude out

Build:
Mobo : Asus Prime Z370 A (LGA1151) Z370, ATX, 4*ddr4 (11280)
CPU : Intel Core i5 8400 2.8-4.0 ghz 6-Core 6-Thread 9mb UHD630, 65W, DDR4 2666, LGA1151
Cooler : Deep Cool DC Gammaxx GT RGB
GPU : 8gb MSI GTX 1070 Armor OC ddr5 256bit
RAM : 16gb (dual) ddr4 2666 Corsair Vengeance LED, red, CL16 1.2v
SSD : Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
HDD : 2TB Seagate Barracuda 64MB HDD
PSU : EVGA 650G2, 650watts PSU, 80 gold, full modular
Case : Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB TG
Monitor : 24" Asus VG248QE LED 144hz DVI HDMI DP
I'm not sure if this is accurate but the projected price is at 90169 PHP (1803.3 USD assuming 1 USD is equivalent to 50 PHP)

Would really highly undoubtedly absolutely appreciate everyone who would share their thoughts and opinions. Happy holiday and cheers :smile_xmas:

Well, should I buy a better GPU and go for the 1070? I'm willing to invest more if it's that good plus as I mentioned I might not upgrade in the near future

Thanks fellas btw! :biggrin_xmas:

Got it. Thanks!

How about some thoughts on the motherboard? Only leaning towards Asus for now and wondering if there's a better choice on this one. Socket is LGA 1151.
the Mboard is very good. It's very good quality.
In Romania is ~125 euro right now.
I got H110M same socket and i5 6600k Skylake.

I am completly satisfied.

Good stuff

Ayo Dreams big thanks! I guess the only thing left is finally buy it before the year ends. Got lots of promos and discounts for the holidays :tongue_xmas:

Edit: Some noob questions, the RAM is compatible with the current motherboard and processor right? RAM is Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (dual, 8x2) DDR4 2400Mhz with a motherboard of Asus PRIME H270-Pro and processor of Core i5 7600K

Also, if I can't buy the Asus PRIME H270-Pro, can I opt for Asus ROG STRIX H270F GAMING or the Asus Prime Z270 K (LGA1151)? Seems like I'm running out of time and supplies are getting drier. No compatibility issues with the said specs above?

I heard I should also go for the 1070, cause I've read I'm "wasting" the potential the core i5 7600k has. I'll go with this MSI GTX 1070 6GB Armor OC DDR 5 256bit just in case but there's this money issue. If so with the money issue, will a 1060 will suffice? Also no issues here either with 1060 or 1070?

Happy holidays!! Anyone in authority, can I request to let this open for a little bit longer. If someone wants to share more opinions, feel free to do so. Gladly appreciate it

Asus PRIME H270-Pro supports max 2133 mhz dual channel.... So no the rams must be max 2133 frequency.
And for video Gigabyte 970gtx at 4096mb is good as well.
You can play any game on the market at max details.

Corsair 16GB (1x16GB), DDR4, CL15, 2133 MHz is around 170-180 euro now and it's very good.... If it's very expensive you can go for a lower frequency but Corsair or Kingstone as manufacturer.

I might be going for an Asus Strix H270F Gaming or the Asus Prime Z270K for now. Seems like the store dried out on the H270-PRO. Is the Strix H270F Gaming the better choice? Or the Prime Z270K?

The Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 GB (16, dual) DDR4 CL14 2400MHz is on a year-end promo. It's on 8850 PHP or 148.640 Euro. My gut is telling me I should grab it ASAP.

Well the i5 7600k also has a promo on it so I'm really try to get it. But the PSU, should I get 650? I'm willing to invest if it's worth the buck. Sadly, the 212 X Edition has run dry. Kinda sad. Although they have Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED Turbo Black, is it better?

So here's the updated one!
Mboard: ASUS PRIME H270-PRO
: Asus Prime Z270 K
: x Asus Strix H270 F Gaming
CPU: x Intel Core i5 7600K 3.8-4.2 ghz 4-Core 6mb HD630, 91W, LGA1151
Cooler: x Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED
Graphics: x MSI GTX 1060 6GB Gaming X Twin Frozr 6 ddr5 192bit
RAM: x 16gb (dual) ddr4 2400 Corsair Vengeance LPX, black, CL14 1.2v
SSD: x Samsung 850 EVO SSD SATA 250GB
HDD: x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 64mb hdd 3.5" SATA
PSU: x Corsair 550watts PSU, RMX, RM550x, 80 gold, full modular
Case: x CM Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB TG

I got a couple of days before I go to a 1 hour drive to get these so I'm really making sure I'm doing it right

I'm getting all the x'ed items, or at least trying to on the case of the mboard btw.

Asus Strix H270 F Gaming supports upt to 2400mhz yes and the RAM price is good at 150 eur 16GB
About the PSU yeah...650 is enough but u can take each part and calculate how much power they eat...but 650 is enough.
Fans...and more fans....but if you won't overcloak it...and u dont need to do it anyway, everything will run safe.

Opting for the H270F Gaming, then. Just in case it also runs out, I guess the Asus Prime Z270K is a good too if my research was correct.
I tried to calculate, turns out I can go for 550 but in case I wanted to overclock stuffs, Corsair 650watts RM650x 80 Gold, Full modular is enough. 650 it is then

Plz pray everything I need won't run out. I pray to all deities and outer gods out there

LED vs Evo is the same the 212 X is better version of Evo.

For the PSU never play with the watts that means 100 watt more = more safety and investment for the future.

Oh wait, my bad. I haven't updated it. Let me edit.

The PSU is now a Corsair 650watts RM650x 80 gold, full modular. Ye, just in case, for safety reasons as well.

The fans, well, they're still out of stock on that one. They only got a Cooler Master 212 LED Turbo Black/Red but im sticking on the non-turbo but if you think that's a better choice, I'll consider it and opt for that.
I guess the rest of the listed items are okay? 4 more days to go and my wallet shall dry empty for the holidays.

WORTH :biggrin_xmas:

Seems like I got a new dilemma on choosing HDD's. The SSD is fine. It's a Samsung 850 EVO SATA 250GB, enough for the OS and some other shenanigans. Some questions tho

I heard Seagate has high chance of failure compared to other products and all the reviews I'm getting is their HDD's failed on them on 2 years or less. Some even months.

I'm limited to WD, the second reliable brand according to users. The WD Black Performance is kinda hard on my budget but it's reliability and longevity is topnotch.
But basing solely on reviews, WD Red and Blue's are a good choice especially on saving money although the rpm is only at 5400.

Should I opt for the blue/red 2TB 5200 RPM? Or the black performance 1TB with 7200 RPM? Should I even care for RPM's at all?
Lol
