Hello Infinitians and staffs. Today I found a great idea to stop insulters in game and make them more respectfully to each other. as you knows some many insulters have in game and they is getting ban everytime from that. I wanted to suggest if the other person that got insulted agrees to cancel the ban, and give other player the chance because the insultor sincere apologize to the person that got insult. Therefore soft or hard insults they end up quitting from our server then server is losing there players.. Here is my suggestion to fix all of them. Example: If an player insult someone in game hard insult or simple insult. If that insult is enough to send him to ban. then after the he get ban If he understand his mistake and if he say sorry or apologize from reporter. it's depending on insult hard insult or simple insult. then If reporter accept his mistake and forgive him. then he/she can get unban with this way. with this way people will be more respectfully to each other; the server will be not lose any players with this way.

I beg to disagree. If you want to lessen or completely remove those people who tend to insult in game you must ban them with no reservations to serve as an example to other people. So majority of the people will not dare to insult anyone.
But let me tell you this, I don't think you can remove the 'insults' in a game specially here in InfinityMU which is a pvp focus mmorpg game. It will always be part of the culture. Its the staffs job to control and punish those people.

Let's say Player 1 insulted Player 2.
So, Player 2 reported Player 1. Nikki comes in and banned Player 1. After a while, Player 1 apologized to Player 2 and promised to not insult him again. Player 2 accepted the apology and asked the GM team to unban Player 1. Unban granted. After an hour, Player 1 insulted Player 2 again. So, Player 2 reported Player 1 again, so on, so forth.
1. This will complicate the system.
2. This can easily be abused by players.
3. This will demand unnecessary time and effort from the GM team.
4. This will give birth to:
-Give me 10 ROWs and I will tell the GM I have forgiven you.
-Do you believe in God? If God can forgive, why can't you?
-I hate that player, he doesn't know how to forgive.
5. Revising an existing procedure would require a lot of provisions, testing and adjustments.
Our rules and banning procedures have been working effectively and efficiently. Don't worry about those banned players who will leave the game, because they will come back eventually. Some of them learn from their mistakes, some start anew, and there are some who just can't learn.
