Hero Tower ?

What about creating an event called "Hero Tower" which, lets say, happens in one of the Lost Tower levels thats not used much. Lets say it has 99 waves of monsters with increasing difficulty (something easy at start, like Dark Phoenixes, then something like Dark Elves around the 25 wave, and something much more challenging towards the 75 wave) [with increasing HP, Def, Def Rate and Dmg values of course] and lets say, a heavy boss at the 100th wave (or maybe 3-4-5 bosses ?) which drops 10 randomly generated "new" jewels. Lets say every 10 waves reward excellent items with increasing value, and a lets say 4,6,8,10% chance to drop ancient at wave 25,50,75,99. Lets say party is allowed in maximum of 2 characters(PVP not allowed in event).

I believe that a unique event like this would draw many people to server, and will bump the server up in charts. I have some ideas about such an event, if you would like something like this, i would be glad to correspond with you in PM and develop the event with you (i dont have programing skills, but can help with ideas, testing, etc..)
Hope to see you think about something like this.. I know it is a lot of coding but it would be unique and interesting event!

We already have something planned that its pretty similar to this type of Dungeon type of event.
100 waves of killing mobs is veeeeery boring :D
Besides coding it also needs map editing and ofcourse a very well planed idea with stages , mobs, rewards and etc.
Try to write a clear thread and maybe we find some interesting ideas in it. As i said we already have something in mind for future updates, we always plan ahead our future moves and something similar to this is in plan. No idea when it will be ready but its one of our many extraordinary ideas. Give it a try and come up with a very well designed idea and maybe a small map design. Any idea you write can be reshaped in something better.
We are always open to hear every feedback or suggestion so...who knows, maybe we can make it happen !

Why too long, i mean, the point of that is for one to see how far is One able to reach, so it would be kind of a ingame ranking system of itself. For two, reward the "hero" various items and stimulating him to do better next time, so he could reach further in the tower and so on...
About the nicely, cleanly formed idea, first i would need to know which way are you able to go. I see it happening in two very different ways:
1: 0-99 waves of various monsters (say 50 or 100 mobs per wave)with progressive difficulties, with a boss at wave 100
2: 0-100 levels with proportionally opposite number of mobs per wave. (Like wave 1 spawns 100 mobs, wave 2 spawns 99 etc, till wave 100 which spawns only one strong mob)
Then we can talk numbers :)
About the map.. I proposed one of the lost towers, but i hadnt tought over it. The way i see it now, for a start, Refuge is the perfect place.

Well i feel its long because this is a max stats server. Killing mobs is not really an issue and doing this for 100 stages would result in killing 5050 mobs including the boss. It has no real difficulty since u can do it with a FO set and full stats. This idea would be nice for a low rate server as our 100x version where you could co-up with 2-3 friends for full buff party and where stats would make a difference. The better you tweak them and the better you upgrade your gear => more chances of actualy achieving the end. It would take a lot to go through all the stages and the only real struggle would be to stay awake and nkt to fall asleep until the end.
About map it has to be a custom made area so you can't simply teleport. People could warp in and kill the mobs and distrupt the event. We can make a special map for it, an NPC etc...rankings or what ever you dream of but we need something clear enough. Spawning few mobs is not very difficult. Spawning edited mobs involves some other things and before we start working on something like this everything needs to be clear. The idea, the progression, the rewards, the map etc. Everything needs to be planned perfectly and with a good vision. Thats what i am looking for.
Consider the downsides i presented you :
-max stats server
-mobs are easy to kill
-long event =ppl get bored
-new map idea (sketch)
-a name for the event and a theme (we are fond of mythology themes)
-rewards
-originality

Ok, i'll consider the above and i will hit you up with something, probably on sunday night �� because i work all day, so i have time to think it over, draw a map etc..

[MENTION=36276]dragonwalk[/MENTION], to be frank i know where u got that idea and its from some mobile MU app(other server) so adding that event here wouldn't make InfinityMU unique, rather it would make us a copier. But your suggestion isnt that bad, but it lacks originality.. Suggest a little bit more fun and new and also features that could help InfinityMU more fun to play than other servers.. :)

[MENTION=35804]Navz[/MENTION] how can you say that i saw it somewhere ? Actually i didn't got the idea from another MU, i got it from a GLADIATOR game, i played light years ago on my first pc (pentium 2)
I hope you stop guessing now, and if you are too lazy to work on that project, then dont. I like the idea. Other people like the idea too. I will work on it with as many things as i can, just to make it real.

P.S. Find me a MU server with such an event.

Navz just reply if you have something to contribute to the topic. He started a thread about an idea he has, he will think about it a bit more and who knows, if its an original idea we can start working on it.
As i said, we already have an idea about creating daily instances where you can enter once every 24 hours and hunt some items in there.
He wants a tower with many levels where you can also make a ranking. I like the idea but it will be easy to play it on a high stats servers. So if he comes up with something different then we can think about it.
Unfortunately in MU we can't make mobs think. They dont have AI...they just wonder around in a defined box (area) and attack if you enter in it. So it's not much of a challange...
So just reply if u can add something useful to the idea please.
