Hi All a simple suggestion from me to protect our server and players

this -> DO not trust other sites than WWW.INFINITYMU.NET and our forums HTTP://FORUM.INFINITYMU.NET

http://forum.infinitymu.net/showthread.php?7115-Important-WARNING-to-everyone <- this is not enough thread to give warn to my co-player coz we all know most of the population of this game has no forum account, so i'm suggesting to implement this before a player Logged-in game so that there's no reason to hack by the scammer (with a scamming site)

Just like this he is a victim of scamming site http://forum.infinitymu.net/showthr...ccount-Character-J-S-EXIT&p=913502#post913502

In this suggestion we give warn to a player and the same time we made afraid those scammer (with scamming site) to conquer this server coz he/she know that he can't fooled players just because of this WARNING.

added suggestion and correction allowed

i didn't see yet this implemented but if it is please MODS can Trashed this

thankyou

There are lots of other ways to prevent being scammed

1. GM's can tell to the community(IN-GAME) that they should not trust other sites.
2. If the players found a player posting a scam site, they can report it in game and they can report the website on the webhost they used to create the site.
3. Forums, yeah not all players do not have a forum account. But consider this a logic, a website other than main and forum is asking for a username and password, isn't a bit suspicious?

No Offense to anyone who got scammed here by a scam site but for sure those who got scammed are greedy for items. If they need items badly, participate in events and keep voting.

Sorry but I'm closing this thread, we are doing our best to remove those scam sites. Even players can remove the scam site, they just need to report it on the Webhost on where the website is created.

1. This is a nice a idea too but before suggesting this i myself observe 14 days in game spend 14 hours no afk just for this "GM's can tell to the community(IN-GAME) that they should not trust other sites" possibilities to prevent scamming but SORRY and SAD to say i'm dis appointed coz no one did it.

i saw a perfect answered related on this suggestion so i Quote Lost maiden answer.

However, not all the time there is/are GM's in-game.
What if newbies will arrive during the absence of the staff team? How will they be informed?
They can't inform the players one by one because they log-in at varying times.

If we can have it in an easier way, why would we stick to the difficult one?

2 and 3 u can say all of this just because u have enough knowledge on that scamming site u never even care for those Newbies no idea about that sites.

believe me 60% who got banned due advertising scamming site are victims account. u can check IP's of those accounts

Actually they do but playing 14 hours without afk is a bit unbelievable. Let me base my answer on your signature.

"Why do I need in a POSITION, if I can help even if i'm not in a POSITION."

Before I became a Mod, I do see some players promoting scam sites, now what I do is use a /post chat where even noobs can read it and warn the players regarding that player. You see, even normal players can do the job its just a matter of voluntary.

Like what I said, we are doing our best to remove those scam sites and prevent the players on being scammed.

/Permanently Closed or Wait for Some GM's/Higher Staff's to give their feedback.
