I voted for the 2nd entry, feels more...apocalyptic...darker...I think it fits the theme better.
I am very disapointed we had only 2 entries...i was hoping for some interest in such a theme.

Voted for the 2nd one. The background has more depth to it and the text looks like it's been worked out on more than the other one. The 1st one looks too simple. But GL to both.

the concept of the first one is great i have to say i like it but it lacks the basic principles of signature/banner making...
i can list some of them here...
the lightning is overly done plus it could be done in a better way like choosing a different color(yellow for example) then setting it to linear dodge to make it brighter...
i dont really know what that other brush you used but i believe there is one more you can do same thing with that...
the way you did your lighting is great but you need to put it on the right place and add some shadows as well basic way is adding some black shades on the sides opposite your light this makes your focal stand out a little bit more...
id like to say a bit more but it would be too much to work on it all together...
keep on doing it...like i said i like how you think...


the second tag was nice i like how you utilized the light on the background to make your focal stand out...
although you could have removed that light on the top-left corner cause it really distracts the focal...i think it was already on the background which can be removed by shading with black color...
also it needs a bit more blending...
and on the render i would make it a bit bigger if it was me but its all on the persons preference...
and one last thing...try and use an HD render next time...
