Legalize MACRO

I would like to open this topic again.

I hope using MACRO will be legalized again. One of the advantage is the server will gain more players to play with us again. The PVP (all class) will be more active.

As what I've experienced earlier, I invited some of my MU friends from the other server to play here. The first thing they ask is, "Is macro allowed"?. When I said no, they declined.

Although, I thought MACRO was allowed when I came back playing last April, I used it and got detected. Unfortunately, got banned. I planned to quit tho but it didn't trigger me because I already invited my old AION friends to play here and we already donated to help the server.

This is like a Marijuana plant, everyone thought it was bad but eventually, people realized that this plant gives benefits and will actually help our physical and mental health.

Using macro devices will help the Infinity community as this is one of the top basis of some players to pick a server.

Not everyone has time to practice manual combo (Wayback 2011, I will rekt you using my hands, but now? nahh! pass) . Also, some of the players are already in 30's, hands are not that speedy and reflexive anymore. Some are working 8 hours a day, programmers, coders, gym instructors ( using the hands and fingers ).

If some of you guys oppose this suggestion, please try to play Castle Siege and use killer BK role. Let's see if you can survive using manual pots and combo in 2 hours. lol

Honesty, this server is already near perfect. Items and characters are well-balanced. Just one more to be 99% perfect, LEGALIZE MACRO!

This is only a suggestion, whatever staff's decision, we will respect and move on.

Even if i dont really use macro(sometimes i use it, loool just kidding). I kinda agree with this idea. I tried to present this to peaceful and venci about it back then but it got denied because there will more work for them if the current rules will be revised. Let's be real here, only a few who really does not use macro here especially during cs time and those guys who uses it are so god damn lucky the GM team nowadays are only banning people with macro detection/macro chat fails like looooool(they need to work more, if they really want no macro users in this server). Hello,
im not agree nor agree with that suggestion but imagine; most of us have gaming setup already with really good gaming hardware keyboard mouse etc.. ( its like 2039 ) but we have to play imu its like in 1999-2001. its really ironic to me very well. and we all have to show our game play to prove it that we are playing with hands its second ironic thing to me also.
allowing macro or whatever ( not for bypassing guard system ) should have been allow long time ago. imu did it before but after short time its became forbidden again.
the fact is ppl still using macro with their gaming software which is liveguard cant caught it. i wont tell how they doing this but most players know that.​

I guess it's like ascending. Something everyone does but many deny. Why ban it when everyone is already using it in some way? I agree because I think the in-game activity will increase even more. At least under certain conditions.

Well, first at all I don't understand why macro is illegal. Its not kind of cheat or hack we have to pay for...Macro was created long time ago to make people life easier, especially gamers. Gamming mouse or keyboard have own memory to save macro scripts and use them without any program installed on your pc, macros like those CANT be detected as long as you don't fail on the chat. Using undetected macro is a huge advantage over non macro players, people using hands getting tired after few minutes and program is not. You can ban people as many times as you want but macro will be here all the time and only hand users are most harmed.

Let's look on it from different point, macro scripts are also kind of art, making perfect timing to do your best combos. People with knowledge are able to create and sell scripts on forum to help people with no idea how to create them.

I know Venci is trying to make this server unique and probably macro will stay illegal as it is. But like I said, macro is here and will be here as long as server is online, we can clearly see it on Ban List.

Please don't punish non macro players with unfair pvp, all we wanna do is enjoy this server like everyone else.

Please try to visit ban lists. When you have good combo, someone will record you. And tadaa, later you will be in I Love InfinityMU land. This is why some players are afraid to PK in game because macro's are illegal. If you have good timing, you will be bullied and disgusted by some players, that they think MACROs are HACKs.

This is true, but we have so-called "PCH" where you can show your pure skills. Trust me, 90% of the players are using MACROs already. However, in-game activity is decreasing.

I am not pushing player with unfair pvp. As what you've said, players were already using MACRO's without being detected. But we cannot avoid the fact that, someone will always be in ban list, hence resulting a decrease in in-game activity.

I won't be silent on that topic since several players and even ex-staff members come in discord and PM me about it and asking to legalize macro and now this topic is open in forum.

My own opinion about it:
It's total bullshit allowing any kind of third application/macro mouse that helps your gameplay. Next thing you will suggest allowing Speed Hack. Most games now days allow macro since gameplay is really hard without it or in some case the games are 90% automated gameplay and you don't have to do anything hard that makes you sweat and show your skills. That would make you bored and stop playing. Anyway in MuOnline it's different for me. Being good in combo+pot is the only thing that makes difference between good and bad player and only action you can do in-game is combo and good hands for good potting + combo. )))

Cons:
1. We tried it before, we had macro legalized for short period of time and it failed because most of the players (not all! I know pro players who still play without macro and are better than those with macro) used macros and got they bored very fast, you will see AFKers and complainers that macro is allowed and game is boring because of that. It will bore the gameplay because it all becomes automated and only thing you must do is to move your mouse in PVP and watch your character.
2. There will be always complains and players who will be against macro and players who will like it for short time because it will bore most players! Trust me on this one because we had it before and I saw how players reacted. Most pro players quitted and some players started blackmailing me that they will also quit because we allowed "cheaters" in the server to use macro advantage and game became boring for them.
3. You will see decrease in inactivity in-game and players quitting (real MU players who actually have good skills in PVP and they don't need APPS and Macro mouses to PVP because they are used to the oldschool gameplay. Only "bots" will remain showing off their macro script. Under bots I mean - players who are bad in combo and pot usage and they can only fight using third party app/ macro script for their mouse to beat someone in PVP.
4. Really bad con, but it's the reality, please come to earth and don't suggest such ideas anymore: if we allow macro then most "bots" will start using speedhack because their script is bad and latency is not that good to the server compared to other players. More players will start to get banned and decrease game activity drastically because they will start to use more dangerous hacks than macro.
5. Players do think its gonna be more fun, enjoyable, but it will be temporary and once there will be someone with best scripted macro then those players will start to dominate the pvp, so players will start to lose motivation. Additionally, some of those players may hide themselves in behind of the marcos, scripts to use another cheats like anti-ref & speedhack.
*Many more cons I don't have time to write. The cons are much more than the pros. Simple math will show the conclusion for you...

Pros:
1. Allowing it most likely will help in CS and regular PVP since many players use it and non-macro users suffer from this.
2. No more players will be suffering from macro abusers since they can also use macro mouse / script / app advantage in PVP.
3. No more hand pressure. Players hands will be with free hands - full chill mode, eat, drink and so on.
4. No one will get their hands tired but probably will get bored as hell as I mentioned above then eventually give up playing because we allow macros and gameplay in PVP is automated and would get bored really fast. Imagine everyone afk because they got bored in PVP.

Conclusion: The best macro script and PING/MS will be the winner in a duel. So, what actually will make you interested in playing when everyone is using macro? What's the action in the PVP? It's like watching a stream of someone playing and not actually you playing, just moving your mouse.
