Hello everyone, It's been known by a lot of players that marketplace is a mess and from time to time we have some Market Place rules broken. This will be a definitive guide on how to post on market places, what you can and can't post all in 1 thread for easier access to everyone. Let's begin with the basics.

What is Market place?
Market Place is a forum section located here https://forum.infinitymu.net/forums/market-place.11/. Its purpose is to let players buy and sell their goods.

What can you sell or buy?
You can buy/sell anything you like with an exception on Big Trade Assistance (BTA):
Trading Draconite Sets to draco/row/gold credit is not possible, only Via Donation (VD) is allowed.

What is BTA?
Is the mechanism where RESiSTANT offers the possibility of trading goods that cannot be traded in-game.

What is allowed based on your group:
Infinitian - Can trade via BTA anything that implies VD (Via Donation). You or your buyer/seller has to provide goods VD.
VIP - Can trade via BTA anything that implies VD, BTA between Gold Credits/ROWs/Draconites;
SuperVIP & Top Contributor - Can trade via BTA anything that implies VD, BTA between Gold Credits/ROWs/Draconites;
Trading Draconite Sets to draco/row/gold credit is not possible, only Via Donation (VD) is allowed.
Trading Uber T1 & T2 Sets to another uber sets or (VD) for 2 Top Contributors.

What are prefixes?

Store: When you have more than 1 item you want to buy or sell you have to use this prefix.
Buy: When you have to buy an item you have to use this prefix.
Sell: When you have to sell an item you have to use this prefix.

How many threads can you have open at the same time?
There are a 4 combinations possible from where you can choose the one that suits your needs:
1 Buy Thread
1 Sell Thread
1 Buy + 1 Sell Thread
1 Store Thread
Any other combination is forbidden and will get your oldest market threads deleted until the above combinations are reached.
This is to avoid having pages and pages of unused and forgotten market threads. Less threads means that your goods can be seen by other players faster and without scrolling through multiple pages.

When does your thread get closed?
Moderator Team closes all threads that are inactive for more than 2 weeks, which means 14 days after the last post and will be moved to Cancelled Trades section. Also we close the threads and move them to Finished Trades section when the players ask us to close their thread if their trade was successful.

Finished Trade
Once you've traded your items either via BTA or In-Game you must to let us know either by sending a PM to any Moderator or by posting in your thread something such as "Item sold, please close this thread".
Do not edit your title to do this, it get's the forum messy.

How to Bump?
We have a function called Bump Thread located on top right corner of your 1st post inside the thread. You can make use of this function once every 24 hours. Do not post just for the sake of bumping your thread.

How to edit Content or Thread Title
If you made a mistake or you sold some of the items in your store and you want to update your first post you just need to edit your thread, there's no need to post an update or create another thread. To do so please follow this guide made by @Djinny https://forum.infinitymu.net/threads/how-to-edit-your-own-title-and-post.125054/

Now that everything has been explained let's create the actual Market Thread

1. Prefix:
Here you choose your prefix. As I explained before.
Store: When you have more than 1 item you want to buy or sell you have to use this prefix.
Buy: When you have to buy an item you have to use this prefix.
Sell: When you have to sell an item you have to use this prefix.

2. Thread Title:
Here you type the item you are Buying/Selling. If you choose Store as your prefix put the name of the item with most value in the title. Only 1 item in the title and IGN is no longer needed to be in here, it will be asked later.
Some examples:
25$ VD
500k GC
BK Uber T2 Set
Dracos
Rows

3. Message Box:
Here you can explain a bit more what you are buying or selling, what do you expect in return, Basically what's your price for the item being bought or sold.

4. In Game Name (IGN):
In this box you have to put the IGN of the character you use the most. The one other players will use to contact you or make a BTA.

5. Post Thread:
Once all the info is completed you have to press this button and your thread will get posted. Make sure all the info you typed is correct before doing so. If by any chance you managed to miss something, go up a bit and you'll find the link for the guide on how to edit your thread.

Hope you like this innovation, we expect this makes your marketing experience easier. If you think something is missing or you have any question feel free to PM any MOD, SMOD or LMOD online. You can see if there's Staff online by following this link https://forum.infinitymu.net/online/?type=member
or at the Right column at the main page of the forum:
