I noticed you give a math problem and give the answer solving from left to right, skipping the steps of using Order of Operations, for example. 1+2*3, answer is 7, you guys post answers left to right so making people have to answer 9 to get it right when in reality its 7. 10+10+10+10+10*2 is not 100, its 60. multiply 10*2 first, leaving you with 10+10+10+10+20. same applies to the first question you guys gave with all the 3's.

10+10+10+10+10x2=X is an equation, equation means both sides have to be equal for it to be a true statement. anything with an = sign is an equation

I think your referring to MDAS right? That's the way of solving equations....

Yes he is referring to MDAS. (good)

The last part of PEMDAS is

MDAS

This stands for

M = Multiplication
D = Division
A = Addition
S = Subtraction

In the word PEMDAS, MD comes before AS ... So, the order of operations rule is that you...

Always do
multiplication and division
before
addition and subtraction
Example:
So, in this problem
4 + 10 / 2 We do the division first!

4 + 10 / 2 = 4 + 5 = 9
What do we do first here?

20 - 3 x 4

PEMDAS

Multiplication gets done before subtraction!

20 - 3 x 4 = 20 - 12 = 8

so what we do here :)) learn math again:)
I will post with colours
What we do first:
M = Multiplication
D = Division
A = Addition
S = Subtraction
2+2x3/2-2=? > 2+6/2-2=? > 2+3-2=? > 5-2=3

Little harder?

First we have to solve this:
{1}
2+2(2x2/2+2)x3-2=?
{2}
2+2(4/2+2)x3-2=?
{3}
2+2(2+2)x3-2=?
{4}
Lme explain :))
now we are almost finished with first calculations , after you make (2+2)=4 < you have to do this

2+2x4x3-2=?
{5}
2+8x3-2=?
{6}
2+24-2=?
{7}
26-2=24

Eaven harder lol? :))

2+2{2[2(2x2+2)2/2+2]2x2-2}x0=?
solve this until tomorow and win a cookie

This is basic mathematics, you already have learned this when your still in the primary school. you have to do the Multiplication first, Division, Addition and Subtraction. Don't get confused on this. :)

damn now i wont look inteligent pff...

Btw guys , Its about who hosts the Math event and accepts wrong answers. because i think he should use calculator to make sure about the answer of every single math problem he makes.

if you use Calculator at this : 2+2x2+2 you wont get the correct answer ;) so better use brain
calculator answer is 10 , and correct answer is 8

I don' t think so :)

i have calculator on my pc , who give direct answer < this 1 will make wrong answer if you make 2+2x2+2 <
on my phone calculator add all numbers and after you press = < will give correct answer , so if you have calculator who make direct calculations you will get wrong calculations

It only depends what kind of calculator and how do you use it. If the calculator is enough intelligent to understand the precedence of operations, and you can also add brackets, then surely you won't have any problems. (As Fault posted, a scientific calculator usually has this feature.) Anyway no need for such, Google or Wolframalpha can handle almost every mathematical operations.

ye darkies always writting like this 1+2*3=(1+2)x3 ! he means this!
10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10*0is the same as (10+10+10+!0+10+10+10+10+10+10)x0

I don't think you know what does he mean , and he should clarify it because (1+2)x3 = 9 and 1+(2x3) = 7 and 1+2x3 = 7 .

I'm using my pc calculator, who cares anyway I'm the one handling the event xD
When I'm about to host event such as Math I used to inform players that I'm using PC calculator.

Im using my pc calculator so whatever comes out with it will be the answer for me, if you find it not accurate sorry then.

I believe enough opinions have been shared here, and the theme already discussed. Thank you for your concerns Parasite13, I think we all learned from it, and hopefully this will also mean less mistakes on Math events and more potential winners too. :)
