There is no easy way. If you want to get Accepted you must show your best(By i mean best, your best works) so that any staff of the team will Accept you.
As moorse said please check tutorials Don't you worry the GFX team has always a spot for those who want.
I, myself need to learn more and practice more. Its such a bad timing though coz many troubles came up.
