I was checking out the forums for similar threads but didn't find any.

My question / discussion is for anyone who knows a lot about windows 8 and/or has it. Is it better than windows 7? I want to get a response from here because we are all gamers so I think you would know best.

I play MU almost 100% but also play other games sometimes (nothing too hardcore), should I upgrade to windows 8?

My specs are :

ATI Radeon HD 4200 (onboard)
Ram: 4gb
HD: 500gb
AMD athlon II x2 240 processor 2.80GHz
Current OS: Windows 7 x64bit

Also I'm posting here for if anyone wants to discuss why or why not its better or worse.

No you shouldn't, keep Windows 7.
Windows 8 its just not designed for games, it was orginally designed for Tablets.
There are many issues with games compability on Windows 8.

Well i have a pc with windows 8 and i don´t like it at all. It´s an interface thought for touch screens and it´s uncomfortable to use in a regular pc.
Also, not all the programs are compatible yet, and the compatibility mode doesn´t work in every case.

My advice for you is to keep using windows 7 at least for a while, while windows 8 becomes stronger or Microsoft launchs windows 9 or something, with a better performance and compatibility.

I'm getting the sense that windows 8 is bad for gamers and infinitians seem to have bad experience with it so I wont get it as Euge said I'll wait for windows 9 :):), we all know windows skips a generation in quality when they make their OS (xp was good, vista bad, win 7 good, now win 8 bad ).

Main reason I was attracted to it is because of benchmark testing done by many credible sites and people which showed windows 8 was faster in booting and a tad bit faster in normal performances but I don't think thats worth it =P.
