[Suggestion] Forum Permanent Ban System.

Hello Infinitians,

I am thinking about this suggestion for a long time but I didn`t have enough time to write my opinion about this. What I am talking about?

- As all of you knows, in forum if someone been banned Permanently and create another account, that account will be banned due breaking Multiple Account Creation Rules. But I still didn`t get, why is it needed? So it is not Permanent ban by account, but it is like IP Ban. Let me write it clearly for you guys. Compare with Game, if my game account been banned permanently I can create an account and start everything from ZERO. That should be the point. I mean, if someone been banned in forum, why he doesn`t an access to create other account and start everything from 0? For example me, If my forum account been banned Permanently, that would the big lose for me. 4000+ Post, level 97, Veteran account. Then I could create a new account and start everything from zero. That would be my punishment. But why my 2nd account must be banned too? Since I am just banned permanently in one account and it is not IP ban.

In my opinion, there should be given at least a chance for player for to create another account and level up from 0. Why he/she have to be banned by reason: Multiple Account Creation? Since his/hers 1st account banned and it means he/she currently has 1 account.

Please everybody share his/hers opinions.

I know what you mean and I agree with this. This should not be counted as creating multiple accounts cause your other account cannot be used. I hope this will be implemented :XD:

In sister community Insania this is the practise. After an account banned permanently if the user creates another one, it is not touched, so punishment rather applied to the account than to the user. Personally I agree with this practise, and based on the obscurity of the identification by IP (yeah, today IP isn't the accurate way to identify a user over the internet, because even 10+ devices uses the same public IP address even with 5+ users) this practise also makes more sense. IP (or IP range ban) only should applied in serious cases by the administrator.
When I was Moderator in Insania I identified multiple accounts based on their browser habits and usage style, not only by IP address.

Abesta, I agree with your suggestion, and hope it will be accepted.

This is already implemented, if the 1st forum account of the user account got banned, he can create another account as long as he doesnt abuse something in the forum.


Example of Banning for Multiple Accounts
1st Account got Banned
2nd Account Violated the Rules Again

= Banned for Multiple Accounts

it's a long process and a matter of discussion for this to be passed on or not..
there are pro's and cons on this subject as what Abesta wanted to happen
but I honestly on the side of Abesta.. This issue should be more discussed

As longer they don't abuse something in the forum they shouldn't be banned for multiple acc reason. I think we should be more calm about such situations if he haven't done anything wrong except for having second account. It can be also his friend having character in his account and having account in forum.

His/her newly created forum account could stay not been banned as long as
It didn't break the rules.

Its Because he got lots of cases and those violations he did was resulted to a ban for multiple accounts.

I wouldn't unban you if I was the one who banned you. You played with us you was always coming back to mod team then leave after 2-3 days, it happened not just once but atleast 4-5. You tried to sell your account for real money while being a moderator in our forums. After getting banned you went to other server and became a staff member there, now you got demoted there and you want to come back here?

Not to mention this, saying sh1ts about current the InfinityMU Staff.

Lots of case? As I remember i have been banned in forums two times only for say a pórnsíte in chatbox, and for sell my account in game, if you know about another "case" please tell me.

Also If you can't check yourself before talk i'd like to tell you to check my both IP's address, Wrathbinge & Wrathbinge. IP's are not same, so i didn't break any rules, also i did some useful stuffs with Wrathbinge. account, so?

7th. Multiple Accounts
No having more than 1 account, we do random IP checks.

• Penalty: If you are caught breaking this rules your account will be banned permanently.

6. IP Proxies. There is no reason to use an IP Proxy. If you are caught using one you could be banned for it. Also if you use one and you end up matching IPs with a banned user than you will be banned no questions asked. It is a simple fact that if you use a proxy than you have something to hide or are trying to trick us.

And if you will say something about sometimes i argue with some staff member's:

9. Respect. This is a separate one from flaming since it is the opposite side. I personally want to try and urge all members to try and help each other out and not degrade each other. Now I am not talking about flaming since that is more severe. I mainly mean when someone has a question don't tell them to use the search button. I want you to try and be helpful to each other. This isn't really a punishment here but more of me trying to urge people to help each other when they need it.

Please tell me where i have say to any Staff Team something like "Fúck you" or something like that, no right? If have replied there with some violent words it's okay, because as you see there I wasn't treated in the best way.


Also if i was staff in another server after leave here, i think there is not problem because is my life right? .

And the last one was by venci without ban thread, sadly i dont have the my last conversation with venci when i was banned, but my forum account wasn't banned for sell my account in game, was because after i got demoted here i started to play another server, ask venci for more information .

This is already implemented, if the 1st forum account of the user account got banned, he can create another account as long as he doesnt abuse something in the forum.

= Banned for Multiple Accounts

I think this system is in use from long time ago. But only those who did really bad shiets, did something bad to the server aren't welcomed here anymore. If those are allowed to make another account, then I don't see any point in permanent ban on forums.

Depending on the circumstance, normally people who're banned and make a new account aren't bothered, such as Graf, Toxedo and many others but if they did something really dangerous or something that deserves an IP ban, they may instead have all their accounts banned because as Kane mentioned IP ban's aren't so accurate now-a-days.

Of course, we all know that rules are made to be broken. That's why you guys, the staff members, ban people for the same reason (if it is the same reason) and it is also a part of your job to ban such people with unruly behaviors. People like that are unavoidable, really. Also, it's a REAL big loss for every player to start from square 1. Might as well have fun banning people who worked hard for their accounts

They start again, and if they do it again, they DESERVE AN I.P ban.

Well i think if you got perm ban on forums you have to stay banned becuase you earned it. But if you get like warnings for double posting for insulting you should get a minor punishment like 2 weeks or 1 month ban.
