Hi there, before I start, I need to clarify these:
1) I've searched the forums, and yeah, I know that there are plenty other people who have started similar topics, regarding SM's attack damage.
2) I know that nothing will be changed in Phoenix (3) server, as it's considered the "Classic PVP" server, which defaults to Webzen's original settings. So can we tweak the settings for Pegasus (4) or something?
Okay, here I go:
Well, I've always been playing my SM, and it's been really really hard to do anything - ranging from PVP to PVM.
PvP:
I know that SMs aren't supposed to be a killer-class, and that their base damage won't be increased, but is it possible to add a luck-based system on that? Maybe something like 2% chance to do 6-12X damage perhaps? In my opinion that might make the playing field more even for SMs, seeing as a BM's skill damage is around 34 times that of an SM (not sure of the actual figures).
PvM:
I've noticed something while playing - my SM's melee damage is even higher than my skills, meaning that for higher-HP monsters (eg Golden Tantalos, Dark Elf Captain, Kundun), it's even faster for me to use my melee attack and whack them with my staff. Is this a bug or intended? Because I believe SMs - as the caster-class - ought to have higher wizardry damage than melee damage.
On a side note, I've been having a lot of trouble hunting Kunduns because of my low damage. Everytime I hunt, I'll spend a lot of time attacking the Kundun, then near the end, a BM will just come to kill-steal, and of course take the loot. Till now, I've never ever successfully taken a Kundun kill when there are BMs around (even if he comes later). I always have to hunt using my BM.
Hmm, would RESiSTANT mind looking into this? Haha, the stuffs that bug me abit are the melee-vs-wizardry damage comparison and the weak Kundun-hunting only. I don't mind much about PvP.
