Wayne said:Ok so the problem for me when I installed windows 8 was whenever I opened mu it was extremely slow. Is it possible your gpu is from amd or radeon hd series?
How the issue was fixed for me:
Uninstall all AMD drivers and catalyst control center.
Install the WINDOWS 7 gpu drivers even if you have windows 8
Restart and it should work.
Could you explain more, i really dont know how to do it.. also i dont have my graphic card CDPlease let us know if the solution works for you
also i dont have my graphic card CD
That's not needed just download Driver Scanner and check if its all installed right![]()
i still dont know how to do it... idk where to download and where to find catalyst control center...Ok, as Otelo mentioned I had this issue once before and it was a weird solution, I hope it works for you,
First if possible open search and type "dxdiag" click it and click "Display" here it should mention your graphics card name. Please tell what it says there here.
Now, uninstall your graphics drivers, all drivers pertaining to your specific one. For me I had the radeon hd 4200 which is AMD so I deleted from device manager all AMD related drivers, catalyst control center, etc.
Restart windows.
Now search the windows 7 version of your drivers and install them again. Restart and tell me if the problem is fixed.
Btw you can find your proper by different methods, either by the ones already listed, I.E. programs which auto detect and install for you or just google your GPU's name and windows 7 drivers.

i'm using this type graphic card=ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1)
so i need to pick win 7 instead win 8.1?Ok so through some searches seems this site is trusted, try downloading this:

Remember to choose the proper OS and either x64 or x86..etc.
