So here is the thing.
I can relate to why she posted her picture in her application, a simple reason as to "You know who you're dealing with", i do support that idea, it obviously doesn't support the "Help them accept me by charming them" reasoning you guys gave behind the application, though i do have to admit, the choice of picture in its own is enough to give you this opinion about this application.
Her english,
Who are you to judge her English level, if you're incompetent of using such high level of English, honestly, you have no right to judge her for that, besides, both me and RESiSTANT, other than capable and people with experience, we also valued their English in their Application, speaking the language fluently, it does make your chances a little bit higher than others, truth be told, if you have trouble understanding half of the things she's saying, i honestly feel sorry for you, since English is officialy the international speaking language and you ought to know how to speak it, because you need it to communicate with others around the world.
Bernadeth, your english are fabulous, keep it up.
On the other hand, i have to agree into one thing with the rest of the people, you're NOT to direct the application only to specific people, if you do that, it defeats the whole purpose of making it to start with.
This is not a kid's play, you're applying here in order to let the whole community voice their thoughts and ideas about you, as the person of interest in this case, you ought to listen to everyone's opinions about you, besides that's one of the criteria we're taking into consideration before hiring someone to do the job.
Mentioning another game's name or that you have experience on doing what you're applying for and also providing proof with screenshots about it, is unprofessional, believe me, it would work much better if you used something along the lines: "I have experience in moderation since i have been a Moderator in another forum before, so i am not a biginner, but here is a different community, so wether or not you take it into consideration while going through and evaluiating my application, is all up to you."
Reputation is indeed important since we can't hire people who know almost nothing about the community or almost nothing about what kind of people they have to deal with, this usualy ends up into fightings between staff members and community members in many ways, so, building a reputation and getting to know almost everyone (Forum wised to be honest), it's easier for you to get a chance to show us your skills and how you can help this community grow more popular and also friendlier.
I'll talk about your application now and stop pointing out your goods and bads.
I like your application to be honest, i enjoyed reading it, your English are pretty good as well as i pointed out above, though i do not know you since i've been away for quite a long so i can't voice my opinion wether or not to give you a chance, but if i were still an Administrator, i would honestly consider it.
Cheers and Good luck with your application.
P.S.: People, try to voice opinions in a better and more polite way, don't attack the applicant like that, you're just damaging your own reputation, voice your opinions in a peaceful manner and just point out what you like and what not without attacking directly or INdirectly to the Applicant.
