Is it possible for users to tag each other in forum posts
so they’ll get an alert if they’ve been mentioned?

A notification will appear once a user tagged you in his post

The @user Tagging mod is designed to increase activity on your forum by allowing members to mention each other in posts when talking about them.
This is done in a very easy way, very similar to how Twitter mentions people. We use @ ; as the tags, so for instance you could say: ----

Its a good suggestion but it can be used as a spam to irritate someone. so it will just be more work for our MOD's. you can just mail the user you want to notice or if his/her active he will surely see it on the Latest Thread's posted. this is just my opinion. :grin:

its a good suggestion i agree with this. but the staffs has the right to check and review this. Goodluck :grin:

Such tagging was suggested in the past. But as we mentioned before this could lead to increased spam and tagging users without any mean. This could be abused a lot and it will mean that we're going to get notifications for every single mention,which will be on top of our current work,which is a lot.

I wouldn't even think of this as possible. Please think of something which can improve functionality or make the life of forumers better and enjoyable.
