In recent months we have noticed a spike of forum users active in groups Forum Hero and Top Contributor, which is nice, of course, but unfortunately that has opened doors for those who participate in forum events to rig the polls in their favour. We can't control everything and we can't decide which Forum Hero and which Top Contributor is worthy to vote in Event Polls, so sadly we will have to remove this option from everyone, hence the mentioned groups will not be able to vote in Event Polls from this moment forth. Those who already voted, the votes will still be kept and nothing will change in poll results.
This might come out as very sudden and to some seem unfair, but this decision was made collectively and due to observations I have made over last few months with favouring votes, voting without valid reason and simply not having standards, voting for people simply because they are friends, which is not acceptable. I know that there are users that vote fairly, but all you can blame is the majority that does not.
So, starting today, only groups that will have the ability to vote are as follows:
I can assure, that staff votes will always be unbiased and the one who will win based on the votes cast by staff will be worthy of the acquired victory.
I am sorry to do this to the ones who have voted without bias, but this is what it takes to get poll results to be as fair as possible, so I hope you understand our choice here.
