Denied Unique Specializations for BK Uber Tier 3 Sets

Hi InfinityMU Administration and Devs,

I am a loyal BK user and I would like to suggest giving our BK Uber Tier 3 Sets unique specializations. Right now, sets are mostly used as skins. I want to suggest specific roles for each set to make the PvP and CS meta more strategic.

Here are the proposed specializations for BK:

1. Uber Anhur (The SD Tank / CS Pusher)
  • Specialization: Maximum SD Capacity & Combo Stability.
  • Example: Give this set the highest SD bonus so the BK can perform combos without interruption (no combo-break). This is perfect for CS pushers and those using SD swords, making it very hard to take down the shield bar.
2. Uber Achilles (The 1v1 Duelist / Dual-Wield King)
  • Specialization: Pure Physical Damage for 1v1.
  • Example: A bonus like "+20% Damage when using 2 swords" to maximize raw damage. This is for players who want to overwhelm opponents in duels with pure power.
3. Uber Heracles (The Unstoppable Fortress)
  • Specialization: Shield Mastery & High Defense.
  • Example: A bonus like "+20% Defense when using a shield." This is the best set for "set-switching" to survive high-damage bursts or to hold a position.
4. Uber Heimdall (The Rage Combo / Disruptor)
  • Specialization: Fast Rage Animation & PvP/CS Utility.
  • Example: Improve the Rage Combo speed. This set is great for both PvP and CS. In PvP, it allows for fast pressure, while in CS, it's perfect for poking and disturbing sealers or switchers. It should have balanced defense and attack but with a focus on faster Rage execution.
5. Uber Helios (The Critical / Anti-SD Counter)
  • Specialization: Critical Rate & SD Reflect.
  • Example: Since this set has high natural Critical, players don't need to use a Critical Sword and can use 2 SD Swords instead for better damage. Also, add a "Damage Reflect to HP" trait to counter players with very high SD (like Anhur users), making sure they still take damage directly to their life.
Conclusion: This setup ensures that every BK Uber set has a purpose. Players will need to choose the right set for the right situation, making the game more competitive. I leave the final values and balancing to the Admin team's expertise.

nah this might be unfair to other characters if this will happen. Imagine for BK purposes only.

The value of yellow option also to the sets are not recognizable already if this will happen.

Also, how about those T1 sets and T2 sets plus those Uber draconite uber sets? Trash bin?

Iappreciate your input, but let's look at the bigger picture

1. On fairness: I only used BK as an example because it's the class I know best. Ideally, the Admin should apply unique specializations to ALL character classes (BK, DL, SM, MG and ELF) so everyone gets a fair tactical advantage.

2. On T1, T2, and Draconite: These sets are for progression. Uber Tier 3 sets are the 'End-Game' items. Right now, there’s almost no difference between them except for looks. If you spend a lot on Uber sets, they should feel unique and provide specific tactical value.

3. On Yellow Options: This doesn't make Yellow Options useless. It actually makes them more important because you will choose options that match your set’s specialty (e.g., SD options for an SD-based set).

The goal is to move away from 'boring' PvP where everyone has the same stats and moves. Let's make the meta more exciting where 'Set Switching' and 'Counter-building' actually matter.

Additionally, more income in the server and I’m pretty sure many players will donate according to their roles in the game specifically CS. I have 1 tier 3 set. I didn’t buy another 1 coz it’s the same option

Although a nice idea for having each set a certain field of use, it's a bit problematic from some points of view that others already pointed:
- you need to put that into perspective for all classes
- you need to change it for T1 sets also
- what are you gonna do with the sets the users already posses? for example, some might have Anhur but they like Achilles for 1v1 combat and they're not TC nor anything to be able to change the set? ^__^


I think the system is fair as it stands: t3 sets should be all the same, just choose the one you like based on your preferable skin and enjoy the game ^__^

I respect your point of view, but I have to disagree on some parts for the following reasons:

On Tier 1 (T1) Sets We don't actually need to change T1 sets because they already have unique specializations based on their original Ancient options. For example, the Kantata/Rave set is already known for high damage when 2 swords, while the Garuda/Cloud set provides better survivability with a shield. My point is simply to bring this same 'strategic variety' to the Tier 3 (Uber) level, where everything is currently just a 'skin.'

On Existing Sets & Economy This update would actually benefit the server's economy. As a player, I am willing to donate more to get the specific set I need for my role. For instance, if I am an attacker in CS, I would want a set specialized for switching if I am a defender, I would invest in a set specialized for killing high-tier attackers. Right now, there is no reason to own more than one Uber set. By making them unique, it encourages players to collect and trade more.

On Fairness Tier 3 sets are the ultimate items in the game. They shouldn't just be 'cosmetic' choices. Making them specialized doesn't make the game unfair it makes the game more tactical. It separates players who just have high stats from players who actually know how to use the right equipment for the right situation.

In the end, this is about evolving the meta. If we want a more dynamic and exciting InfinityMU, we should move beyond just 'preferable skins' and focus on actual gameplay depth.
