To get an uber set, you must pay by Paypal, Western Union, or some other bank which I forgot the name...
And it costs 25 dollars...

Hi,

Since SMS service operators charges up to 50% and sometimes up to 60% from 1.50 EUR (Netherlands in ur situation) you have to send about 30~ SMS's to make up to 25 clean USD.

Could be the reason why.

Full really, you cant buy uber with SMSs anymore, I asked RESi and he said no, also I dont see in webshop "SMS purchase"

I sent 7 SMSs from slovakia with euros , (1 SMS = 1,19 euro) so I sent about 7$ xD

Somebody asked if why anyone can't donate SMS for Uber. (Another Thread)

Well I will say same as what I got asking same thing.
You will need to send more SMS rather than when u make money transfer.
Mobile Operators put nice "taxes" on MSG so that about 1/3 of SMS prize goes to them.
Therefore SMS of value 25$ isn't same as Money Transfer of value 25$
So as final you will need to SMS twice as much money comparing to money transfer(PayPal)
