Hello guys! It's probably absurd to vote on a event that i'm a participant, but i just can't help but point out good things on Voodoo's video.
I'm voting for him since his video is just more hypey and cooler, makes me want to play IMU compared to Wiz4dou's and antonino.
I'm not really a fan of major effects which can be found as templates over the internet. I'm more of a fan of ideas, originality and completeness.
*Does this video fits perfectly as a trailer? *
*Will it really make you want to play iMU when you watch it? *
*Does it beat other MU servers?*
Those are the things that i'm looking for. InfinityMU is probably the most unique MU online server. You three actually lacked a little bit to those things i mentioned. Proof is this server is being copied by others since RESiSTANT is probably the best MU online coder + private server owner in the world. That's why you should show off what he and dreams did.
I'll give precise criticism to three of you. Although i'm not an expert, i'll just give my opinion :grin:
On antonino: the editing is a little sloppy, plus its better to just plan out and cut footages rather than speeding it up just for it to fit in the video. Also your pan/crop zoom-in are messy, on the Uber set via donate to be precise. The text doesn't fit with the screen anymore. Also you used many templates, which probably people likes. But i'm looking for originality and you lack the factor of mixing the video with the audio, like on voodoo's showing of jewels. BAM BAM BAM BAM. Or on my balg@ss part.
On BRAVE: The countdown is really long, i know that you want to somehow excite viewers but that's just too long. Also the voice is quite annoying IMO :nuhnuh:
In terms of completeness, i think you're above the other 2. You even included semi ubers which is not even on my video as well. Props to that. Also to the draconite sets, which i didnt bother showing coz i can't think of a good way to show them, but you did it. Although i'd say that your choice of text is the worst here, i think its understandable. I don't think that you're used to editing videos yet. You showed the forum for too long as well, maybe you could have put more in-game footages. You music is good, but it lacks the hype factor like on mine and voodoo's
On Voodoo: Props to you. Actually i think i only won because you posted your video first. I've been joining lots of video events here in our forum and i learned the lesson of waiting for the deadline before actually submitting it. It's simply easier to create something better when you're comparing it to a good one. Your music choice is incredible, the particle overlay of fire spark is really cool as well. The way you mix your video + audio is good too. I'm not sure if you used templates for the effects, (like your texts) but if you didn't, then 100% you're a better effects editor than me. I think i just won with ideas. As other people said, NPC items aren't appealing. As a trailer that you would expect to compete against other servers, you'd want to show the best things that can only be found here. Although your ideas of how to actually portray the things in your footage is good(like in the CS part, DL is the leader after all). I think you just lacked research, i did so much referencing on other trailers on youtube just so i can win against you. 3 minutes is not short, but with so many features here its just not enough. As long as it doesn't pass 6 minutes i think it's ok.
Thank you guys for the good videos! Don't feel bad BRAVE, i lost my first video event here as well. I'm sure that you'll improve much more. Same to antonino. To voodoo tho, he's 100% going to be my main rival in these kinds of events especially when he applies what i said. Congratulations to the 4 of us!
