Ranking reset

Hello guys ,

I'm a old player here since 2009 and after a long pause of playing this game, I'm back.

My suggestion is to be a ranking restart after 6 months or a year.. why? When I left the server in 2011 I had 1200 resets and was on 30-35 place in Ranking... Now I'm back and I was almost on the same position .. is not a competition anymore on ranking ... 2 person have 20000 and the rest nothing.. AND if you look on half of the players in Ranking don't even play on this server anymore.. last login since 2012/2013/2014 .... Many people wants to play on ranking to be the first and to be rewarded if they finish in the first positions.... now If a player see the first place on ranking, he/she will not try anymore to make resets and play...

It will be nice if the server ranking will reset every 6 months or 1 year and the first 3 places to be rewarded...

I think this kind of suggestion is Good..
Because some player played too much for there resets they want it to have many resets beacuse of new reset system have cool prizes, when you reset..also they will play a lot beacuse they want to become on top..

Anyway can I add to your suggestion that the winner of this every 6 months will have a tag on our forum... Also the top 1 reseter will have uber set for a reward(, depends..),2nd will be uber smok or s4 items... Hmm I think 2 winners is enough.. Also only 1 time to win this event.. So if you win the 1st place.. You will not win again..(give chance to others)

I do not agree. It's their work. WE cant simply erase it.
Farm resets now. We got alot of rewards fro top reseters each month as well as credits /resets.

Hmm yes this is true.. but let's take a look on the ranking top 100:

last login
2010 - iiii = 4
2011 - iiiiiiiiiiii =12
2012 - iiiiiiiiii = 10
2013 - iiiiiiiii = 9
2014 - iiiiiiii = 8
2015 - iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii = 16
2016 - iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii = 27

59 people from the ranking are not playing anymore on this server from one or more years...
27 Of them connect this year the server, but not all of them connect to the server this month.. maybe half.. so in top there are under 20% active...

The rest I don't think will be mad if will be a reset and the people who actually playing at this time will be in top or will try to be the first.. When I look the Ranking and see the first person with 21000 resets.. I think this is a impossible number to catch and I'm a player who wants to play for ranking.

The last one in top 100 have 447 resets.. in one month you can reach this number and be in top 100 .. but people are not trying because the top is to big on resets and people that are not active and is not a contest to fight and you lose a lot, A LOT of time to be in top for nothing.. near people who have 2000+ resets and last online time was in 2010 or 2011 .....


It should be a announcement before ranking restart so the players can earn their rewards (GR) and if the admins are half agree with this idea it will be great if will be a poll on the website that people choice..

It's actually a PvP server not a PvE.Farming resets/grand resets is a way getting gold credits, then many Winds+FO and at the end the uber u always u wished for even without donating.

I have to agree with Dreams. I think it's not fair to erase any kind of resets. Those people who are top in the rankings use to spend a lot of time in game in order to complete and make so many resets. Plus, here in InfinityMU some players do not play for a big amount of time, for example 1 year. But i've seen that many people who used to play here before come back again. So that means if they come back again after some time and see that their resets have been removed i am sure they will not like it at all.

Furthermore, when a new player visit our website and check the ranking page, he will see that our server is long term - running since 2008 - and will understand that many people play here and the competition is on. I am sure he will like it a lot and give a try to play in our server.

Erasing or removing resets will be a bad move if it's done. Plus there is no need at all, since the majority of players do not care for resets, but mostly for pvp skills.

I had to disagree on this. Eventhough those players rarely play or didn't play anymore, there's no reason to change what has been there, in this case the rankings.

I believed the main purpose of the ranking is for other to have the chance to beat the other player score. So let's say all their hardwork and effort being wipe out in some short or certain times, wouldn't it make them angry or feels wasting the time on trying to achieve something or creating their own personal records?

We do have event for those top resetter and voter and so on, you can just follow the update and try to win those events. It's just my opinion anyway.

These people in the rankings is also a contributing factor to attract new players because they will see that many players are in here so he/she attracted and play the game, so I disagree on erasing the rankings too. The other thing is some players do not have time anymore because of school and stuff so i think few players will participate if this event will be approved.
