Suggestion about SOTW

Im here to suggest to bring back the SOTW [Signature of the Week]
I know it was suggested by LoveMaster before but please don't deny this i've seen many replies in his thread let me convince you please (h)

SOTW is like a SOTM[Signature of the Month] but it is held every week so we need participants every week

SOTW can help us to gain more GFX'ER because with the prize of this (mini?) event they will be inspired to learn using photoshop which is good because soon they might apply as GFX TEAM.

I've seen we got a GFX team they can handle this i know they caaaan they are pro enough :grin:

About the prize, SOTW has a lower prize than SOTM because you know it is every week
The prize (asked to resi)

This event can help the GFX'ER too to be good at making siggy they can practice and make good siggy because it is a competition/event

Why not? I think we got a lot of participants this time unlike before Let's give it a shot. If it rocks, then it's cool. If it suxx, then we just can remove it anytime and replace it with SOTM, ya?

I just compare SOTW with SOTM preparing time, example :
After you launch SOTW event, you like... give 5 days for participants to send their entries,
and then you need another 2-3 days for Polling... (nerdy)
So it take about 1 week to 1 SOTW event, thats mean we can host 2 SOTW in a month?
Than it just not far different than SOTM cwork:

Hmmm. It sounds like a duplicate to me. Why not just make the siggy-making contest held on a weekly basis?
Meaning, no more SOTM. Just SOTW.

If not or if you guys really want them both, why not put a twist on it?
Put a difference between the two. Because, if they're exactly alike, it would be redundant.

I´m agree, sotm is something that a lot of user are waiting every month. Put the sotw will make us more active, will be more movement on forum, and it will be more fun and learning about ps (which im fasinated).
Maybe simply siggys, like on infinity artist, give a render and concept to be more specific, or not, i say this cuz its sounds fast than create something totally new.

no replace sotm ... we should have bouth events m8 ... but lower price... at sotm is 2k credits .... here should be 500-700

Some people are not perfect as you. putting something on what you want takes time, effort and practice. if you just know how the other users/beginners feels on making Signatures, they give all that they can to show how to be good at something you are proud of. but well you are just degrading other people and pulling them down and telling them to give up(POV)! if this post of mine have a negative impact on you well good for me that i can defend those people who want to have just fun. Your not encouraging them.

I am just here to share my thought's since you've suggested this one, So let me share what's on my mind.

First SOTW is really hard to participate with, Why? as scar said. We need 3 days for preparing 3 days from voting. So it will make 6days for just hosting it while the 1 day is declaring the winner of our SOTW Winner, So to solve the problem, I came up with a little solution which is,

Having a occasion theme every month. For those who doesn't know what's this I will explain it here.

For every month that will come, The Admins,HeadGame Master or The GFX Leader will choose a theme ( or create one ) After choosing one, This will be the Theme for the following SOTW, of course with diff renders and effect. How the rules will go

Rules:
1 All participants will be given a theme to make,
Example: Geisha
The Participants will make a art and pass to it to our dear mods or to us the leaders of the gfx

2 Then voting will be just for 1 day and declare the winner within the day. So in total 3days+1=4 3 days of rest
The following week will be the same theme. Participants who won can't enter the the contest twice in a row. Should be fair. He/she can join after the someone replace him as the winner of the next week SOTW

3 Size: It will be diff since it's SOTW, Let's make it 500x220? ( to be decide ) So it will be a good way to practice large scale signatures and also to be flexible with editing, As other said this will be a good "TRAINING" for some people who wanna learn how to use or to edit using PS or Photoshop

4 The corresponding event will be posted at the SOTM/SOTW section, You cannot edit your signatures once you submit it to us, Plus RIPPING is NOT Allowed here. Try to RIP=BANNED.. Be fair to those who made their efforts to make their siggy nice. :">

5 GFX Team are not allowed to join. Please bare with the others


6 START of the CONTEST Will be MONDAY, Deadline of passing your piece will be on WEDNESDAY. Voting will start on THURSDAY and the winner will be announce on the said date of voting.

So this is just some of my thoughts about this, You can add or change some of the rules Feedback will be so much appreciated

About the days of making siggy, I think People can make Siggy fast, iknow some really decide their effects or whut but with this SOTW you can practice making siggy fast that can help when u enter GFX team because many people might be requesting on your request area and u need to make it fast righttt? :grin:

Of course YES. It's been decade since someone stood or suggest about GFXing. If I will be incharge of this. I will approve this immediately, But I need Resi confirmation about this. Also the prize for this event is not yet discuss with the my team together with the higher staff. I will contact sir resi about this and talk to him about the rules,prize and together with the tag if necessary. I am looking forward to see all of you participating in this event. If it is granted.
