Hey there guys,

I was thinking recently, would it be a good idea to create a thread (maybe sticky it?) listing the average prices of items that're usually circulated in the market? Or would it ruin the economy? Because I've seen many people getting tricked (well I admit I've been tricked too, when I first started), hence the idea.

It doesn't specifically have to be a fixed price, but the "usual price" people sell them for. It can even be a range, like "3-5 Winds", etc.

___________________

Example:

This post serves as a guideline to the prices of items circulated in InfinityMU's market. Prices may be sometimes higher or lower depending on the seller, but this guide is just to give you a general idea of how expensive the item is.

Note: The items below are all assumed to be Full Option (F.O.)

Weapons (Swords)
"Pair" refers to two similar weapons
Pair (2x) of every weapon other than those listed below: 1 Wind
Pair Bone Blade (with Pink Option): 1 Wind
Pair Bone Blade (without Pink Option): 2 Winds

Armor (DW/SM/GM)
Pad Set: 4 Winds
Bone Set: 4 Winds
Legendary Set: 3 Winds
...
Venom Mist Set (with Pink Option): 3 Winds
Venom Mist Set (without Pink Option): 4 Winds

Wings
Wings of Storm - DK (Increased Damage): 2 Winds
Wings of Storm - DK (Automatic HP Recovery): 3 Winds
...
...

Misc.
Horn of Doom (Normal, Increases Defence, Increases Damage): 0 Winds
(Don't get scammed by people selling this, you can make one yourself by buying a normal Horn of Doom from Lorencia's bar, and upgrading it using 1 Jewel of Chaos, 5 Jewels of Life, and one armor part or weapon +4+opt, depending on the fenrir you're making)
Horn of Doom (Illusion Guardian) / Golden Fenrir: 3 Winds

Well, that was just a short sample of what it will look like if it gets approved. I'm doing this voluntarily, because it's really sad to see beginners not knowing the price of something, then getting humiliated by rude players. I've seen many of these, and I have also been on the receiving end of the rude treatment.

If this idea gets approved, I'll gladly start a new thread in a more appropriate subforum, and I will be in charge of editing my main post (plus formatting for easy viewing) with suggestions and information provided by users.

Hope to hear from you all regarding this idea.

Thanks!

I think you can always ask the (market) price at Chatbox
Items prices is flexible, its depend on the seller, if you feel the prices too high you can search for cheaper prices,
I know sometimes its hard to find prices that we desire but thats the market for :D

If you making Market Price Thread I think there will many spammers (he)

Anyway I didn't say NO or YES just share my opinion :)

Its good inference at the same time a bad one.

If it will be implemented, there will be a lot of spammer Scarlette said, you can ask the people the price at the chatbox, from your friends, from staff and other people..

Neutral for this one, Good luck

i thnik this tread would be not usefull, coz the guys who are tricked dont use forum or they are not even registered.but if the gms think its good idea,i dont disegree

For me its not a good idea . In game items prices are flexible ,it depends on how rare is the item and the price is up to the seller...we can't force them to sell their items for fixed prices . Simply because its their own items :)

Its not a good idea for me too, its up to you if youll let others trick you or not you should be aware of the prices and market price can change depends on the rarity of the item or it can be low if the seller is on rush. For me as a Seller/Buyer this is like a business we buy for cheap sell it with a little bit high price for us to have more items,, So be wise on selling and buying your items :)

this is only my opinion,

Hey guys,

Yeah, I understand that prices in-game can be flexible, that's why I said that it's merely a guideline which merely gives a rough idea of how expensive items are, especially for beginners. I didn't say that prices in game must follow the prices stated on the thread, but just that people at least have an idea, if they check the forums.

Asking in post is often fruitless, as people either ignore you, or give you a low price so that they can buy it off you. As for the spamming problem, I plan to ask someone to close the thread once I complete the pricelist with all items :).

In my opinion , the newbies who you are trying to help . when we sticky this thread "as you requested" they will think that those prices are fixed and anyone will sell / buy for a different prices will be like breaking the game rules .

That's why I have stated in my original post,

"This post serves as a guideline to the prices of items circulated in InfinityMU's market. Prices may be sometimes higher or lower depending on the seller, but this guide is just to give you a general idea of how expensive the item is."

To strengthen the opinion of Fault I think that even a guideline can be deceiving because of the non stop changes.Because in time prices are going to change dramatically because of all sorts of changes, rarity and market seeking.Understand this, that even if you display a rough price of an item,it's like demanding the sellers to go with those prices.I understand you want to help the beginners, but in that case you will anger the market, and this will not go without problems and we will be witnesses to a No anger management state.Prices in the market are a free world, even for beginners just to ask a few people in game is enough. The prices are free to set from players.Your idea is good my friend but not for that specific part of the game.

That really is up to you. Mostly Item collectors do this one. Even most of the sellers who has high prizes is negotiable. Well its their right to have that kind of prize. Specially most of them are loyal voters on this server and bought those items at the webshop. You just have to reconsider them. I wont agree to the suggestion. It could bare miscommunication. Its their right so we just have to respect it :)

But I like it, this is one way to keep the players updated on the recent prize.

well if you don't know the price of items in-game, then just buy it for credits at webshop :)

yea he's right. i guess this thread need to close to avoid spam answer wer allready givin

I think it is a good idea in terms of guiding new players but bad idea for those who really do business in the market place some player want to sell it in a higher price and some dont. However if the suggestion is done it would require the poster or the staff team to dwell into the market and look how prices change every now and then to keep the thread updated :)

Alright. I shall go with the flow then :) the thread will not be started.

Can a mod please help me close this thread? Thanks.
