Information Temporary staff activity suspension.

Dear Infinitians,

2020 was a year of revelations for the staff team. Along with our daily routines, we encountered countless issues that could not be resolved by us and always ended up on a list of "to do" for our admin, VENCi. As we already explained to some of you, us, the staff team can do our jobs up to one point. From that point on only one person can handle it since it evolves around permission and/or coding. This person is VENCi.

During last year, the only active period in which we worked as a team, from my point of view, was when we moved to this new awesome platform with the forum. The game department has been neglected for more than that. There were no new updates in-game for at least two years, and the forum received this new form only because the old platform was close to breaking. Having personal and professional life has stopped being an excuse for us for some time now. Things have been neglected for too long. We have expressed our frustration for way too long, both in private and also in threads in our private sections of the forum. The most common answer from our admin was never a satisfying one. Our main concern evolved around the inability of our admin to discuss issues with the staff team. As example, he has been AWOL for the past week, and we simply don't know why. In recent weeks our PMs received no reply. Therefore we simply cannot go on like this and we choose to go on a strike.

Starting tomorrow until next Saturday (16.01.2021-23.01.2021) there will be no more in-game events hosted (daily or big events). Game Report Section will be closed, if you will make a report it will not be handled. The BTA section is already lacking the necessary attention, from the only person handling it, for a week now, so I suggest you stop making any BTA threads since making them only can add more stress to your gameplay. Moderators will still be available for guiding and punishing rule-breakers, since we wouldn't want this nice playground of ours to become a jungle

Out of respect for our community, our dear players without whom we couldn't be here today, we chose to make this announcement public and not disappear without any notice. We are sorry for any inconveniences that might appear during this week.

Thank you and I support your thoughts, I think I speak on behalf of all the players who play Castle Siege, I am sure that if no member of the staff is present during the event we will surely see many of those people with mental problems, who need to use programs to play and everyone knows what I'm talking about.

As a suggestion to this, wouldn’t it be better if there were at least 2 administrators? 2 people in charge of doing the same functions? I know that for 1 person to take care of an entire server such as maintenance, finances, bta, complaints and to have a full and social life with your family is very complicated.
Now I have a question, what would happen if Mr Venci had something in real life, some disease, an accident, or just died? You mean the server will die and this game will end? Where will the staff team be, the players without an administrator?

Your idea is incredible but according to the history and the facts all the servers that are managed by more than one administrator always have serious problems, if he is going to choose another administrator and give some power such as access to the dedicated server, webpanel server he needs to have a backup security of everything every 1 min.

Perhaps you do not know much because you only play and are not in the business to trust a person for this task is very difficult, it is always advisable to have someone that he knows in real life because we start from the basis that here we are all people who are in contact only by internet, I live in Uruguay South America and Venci lives in Bulgaria.
Suppose that I am the second administrator and one day I argue with him and delete the machine where the server is hosted, the server is dead.

Having another administrator may be a good idea but they must be a very trustworthy person such as a sibling or family member.
I think that currently the oldest staff is @Nikki even though I have some differences with him, maybe it's not a bad idea.

Clearly the person also needs to know a lot about programming because fixing bugs takes programming and a lot of time, creating custom is the same.
Each item, each grass, each pixel of the game is controlled by an executable called GS, if the second administrator programs badly the game breaks, it is a set of factors.

It is not easy as people think.

I totally understand what you’re saying and thank you for making me understand some things I had no idea about (I only know chemistry, not programming xD).
But I come back to the idea that if something happens to our administrator, the server would also die because only he would have the power and the knowledge to handle it, maybe some family member who has the knowledge, a very close friend with whom he was motivated to create this server or sign some employment contract (make it legal) with a close person and pay him to do the job, I don’t know.
We should think that we also have another life, sometimes things can get a little complicated. I would like him to make the decision to open a small space of his power and give it up and relax a little, I understand perfectly what it is to work under pressure.

a person has only 24 hours in a day. now that we've concluded or already have known venci has a social life which is striving hard for his personal career, i personally don't think he can cope with managing the server be it forums or in-game as well as creating new contents for the players in iMU.

i'd agree with having a second in command. However, not the 2nd administrator. create a new position e.g Vice admin etc to help managing the server so venci himself can think for the future of iMU. Future of iMU? Things like creating new content, attracting new players, developing new features for the players to enjoy, planning iMU's route for 2021 - 2025. i honestly dont think it's a game when it comes to venci's perspective towards iMU. this is a business to him.

now let's talk about venci's working attitude. i've actually spoken privately with Venci via Skype on the content creations (this was on 31 January 2020). he chose to ignore or should i say, insist on his own way of doing work. well it's his server yes i don't really mind anyway but now that it has led to this extent i'm pretty sure something has to be done. i've also given him multiple suggestions of content creating, a rough gauge on the leads for every single content i've suggested but he chose not to listen. honestly speaking, you players will only receive a quick response when it comes to donation or he's receiving money (maybe he's busy but who knows?).

Venci, if you're overwhelmed with workload including your personal social everyday tasks, start distributing to your staffs, assigning them your job instead of leaving it undone and went AWOL as mentioned by Djinny. Or you can continue to not listen to any of these comments and be the notorious one to only listen to yourself.

to all staffs, if you think i'm bullshitting on my words, feel free to delete my comment/blacklist my account away from forums. we players all here to improvise the quality content as well as the performance of the server. i dont gain no shit for typing this long text either. otherwise, be the one that can accept your own flaws, work on it, improvise and that includes you Venci.

Hello guys, how's you doing? I am not a Mu player anymore, but checking this forum from time to time. I'd played mu online in the best possible way from my first day till the last. Tons of memories in my heard. Believe me or not guys, current Staff Team is the most loyal one that I never saw at InfinityMU or in any Mu server. I believe most of them even have an antipathy towards me, just like in real life - Youngs hates oldies when they talk about their times and greatness of their works on their prime :-D I dont know what is going on here at all but this is the most honest thread ever made in this forum. If you have such a loyal team, then i believe you must protect them, listen to them and join them as they want things to be perfect. I say it once again, when you have such motivated team to lead on, then you must do everything to increase their motivation. If they feel disrespected then they are completely right at what they do.

Each of us has their own Function and task that we need to do. We have a responsibility both real life and gaming world. Sometimes we need consider things of what is happening to the personal world and Gaming world. Sometimes trials come, Problems come, but we need to remember each trial and problem have the solution. How can we find a solution just to do your part what you have.

Sometimes People leave you without any reason, but through that you learn something that you need to improve. What you need to improve to be strong and courageous.

Let them go because someday someone will come better than them.

Just enjoy of the task what you have, then you will see the fruit that you have been labor.

Work as a team and understand each other and be faithful for the task that you have. Just stay Cool and relax, think what is best to this server.
