What do guys think about having a sub server (Server4) hosted ing singapore?

I personally think this would be fun because of the ping swap between Na/eu players and Asian players.

Any feedback would be highly appreciated!

That sounds more like a private request, I mean to make a private server? Because then you would have to pay a subscription to join that server.

I see nothing productive in this suggestion.

I don't know man, hosting is not cheap, could be out of Venci's budget, but if it's not, could be fun to test out how that works, however, it will create yet another problem, because then a whole new set of players will be complaining about higher ping. Choice of where the server is hosted now is not accidental, it's the best solution for the largest player base, so the rest simply must adapt, pleasing everyone is just impossible, someone will always suffer.

Im willing to pay for the monthly subscription just to try new things for our server.

I agree with you. But that doesnt mean the server 3 will be gone. Its people’s choice what server to play that would be server 3(canada) or server 4(singapore)

No im not trolling. I already contacted Venci about this matter and I was just wondering what would other people/player would think about this.

If you are ready to sponsor it and Venci agrees, why not try to venture into other locations :cat-liked: We won't know how it is unless we try.
 
I think this is a solid idea introducing a Server 4 based in Singapore while keeping Server 3 in Canada would give players the flexibility to choose which server they prefer for PvP. It adds variety and allows players to switch depending on their experience or connection.

Since I’m based in the UAE, I’m not entirely sure how my ping will compare between the two, but I’m open to trying something new. It’s also great to see people stepping up to support the community kudos to Dupung for sponsoring the Singapore server👍🏻. That said, one concern is sustainability. If the SG server pushes through, how long can Dupung realistically continue sponsoring it? It would be important to have a clear plan in case the sponsorship ends. Overall, it’s an exciting idea, but it’s worth considering the possible downsides and long term impact before fully committing.

My first sponsorship is 3 months only
 
Thats the whole point of it. I saw you chatting buying lags. Maybe you could try playing in our ping and there you can experience the spikes 😂
 
First thing I think about Carni's question, and it's the good one: how much is it gonna cost?
Let's say you take care of the sponsorship for that.. what will this bring to the table?
A server only for EU/America players, where there, I guess, won't join any player from Asia?
And another server for the Asian players?

Don't know but, for me it's a bit strange, maybe even kinda racist, thinking just for yourself.
As all above told you, this choice was for the greater good, for the majority of the community and for things to be equilibrated.

Final decision will belong to Sir Resi, we'll see what's his opinion about it.

This is actually a good idea imo.
In modern mmorpg games, players can choose which server they want to play depending on the nearest region in which they are living (eg: us west, us east, central europe, se asia, etc)

Some players are paying vpn subscriptions to play the game smoothly. With a much nearer server and now an ideally a low ping because of another server location, vpn subscriptions might be converted into donation/subscription by players.

Only question is if technicality wise, hosting 2 servers in a different location is possible. 🤔
 
In 2026 there aren't many of us left still playing MuOnline, splitting the playerbase across different servers is not really a good ideea in my opinion, everyone would like to have their own server for their region, but sadly that just can't happen, that's why the current host its quite a decent compromise for everyone.

Hey Infinitians,

We've been looking into ways to improve the connection for a massive part of our community. Right now, our main infrastructure is rock-solid and based in Canada, but I know the sheer physical distance means a lot of you are dealing with higher ping and latency than you'd like.

We are seriously considering opening up a dedicated subserver hosted in Singapore to fix this.

Singapore is the ultimate internet hub for Asia. Having a node there wouldn't just be a game-changer for our Philippine players—it would mean flawlessly smooth gameplay for anyone connecting from...
