I want to discuss the state of our server today, I believe you all will like it. I myself have been here for 11 years, and during these 11 years a lot has changed here, for the better and, but mostly for the bad!

1.No new changes

2.Reducing people on the server
3.decreased interest in the server

4.How many years the same thing for example Bk, Sm, Dl, Elf,Massive events (and so on)
Admins, please take this issue seriously, otherwise the end of the server is very close.
There are those who have been here for 11 years or more; their suffering should not be underestimated.

Best regards
Fedaikin

Have you been living under a rock? There are plenty of changes, granted, they are not implemented frequently, but you have to be realistic here, your desires cannot be matched by a single man that must create it all alongside real life responsibilities and million inquiries from everyone. Try to put yourself in his shoes and be grateful for what we have here.

Reducing people in the server, now who is at fault here? Biased racist staff I assume? Or maybe the worthless cheating scum and those who live to break all the rules? I am not blaming anyone in particular here, don't take it that way, but I am confident that the biggest decrease in players is because it is not allowed to do as you please here, without rules there is chaos and those that thrive in chaos simply leave at one point. Their presence alone is a burden for a lot of players that are trying to just enjoy the game, so in essence they not only get themselves banned, but take some people with them indirectly by being who they are, I won't curse.

Of course there is decreased interest in an old azz game, what did you expect, that thousands of people will learn of S3 mu and all of a sudden will play it even though they have never heard of it and it doesn't compare to the new gen games? Mu, especially lower seasons, is a very niche game that is enjoyed mostly by people in their 30s, late 20s. Advertising attempts have been going on since forever, there is as much interest in the game as there ever will be, especially after release of S8 that will attract more players that enjoy higher seasons and might try lower season for the fun of it.

Same events? Okay. Instead of complaining, and this goes for above points as well, how about you suggest something? Complaining is no art my friend, everyone can shed some tears and act all concerned, if you really are so concerned as you claim to be, make a suggestion, think of something, be useful. You as a player should know better what you want to see, so do something about it, put some thought into it, suggest it and see where it goes, instead of just shifting the task onto Administration and claiming that you have seen in your crystal ball that the end is near.

Be a part of the solution not a part of the problem :plink:

Fedaikin,

Over the years, there have been various changes and events.
You can host as many events as possible within the system's limits, and players are always eager to join them.
Season 3 has some restrictions, but we've seen significant updates, particularly with sets and other aspects of the game.

For example, in 2008, there was no knowledge of Uber sets.
By 2009/2010, the first Ubers were introduced, which led to further changes as more Ubers were added to the server.
These are examples of the kind of changes you claim don’t happen—but they clearly do. Implementing new features or changes doesn't happen overnight or in just a few steps; it takes time.

Another point—while you frequently complain about the same events being repeated, I haven't seen any suggestions from you in the forums.
Looking at your forum history, you mostly participate in threads like staff updates, birthdays, and Castle Siege discussions, but non contribute ideas to improve events or gameplay.

Yes, there's been a decrease in interest on the server, which is completely normal for any long-running game, especially one that's been active since 2008.
Even large companies experience declines in activity over time. Add to that, many hackers and toxic players have been banned, which has also affected the population.

If you’re looking for something new, I suggest trying out our sister server, S8, at infinitymuonline.com. It's running Season 8 (as I mentioned earlier, haha) and features many automatic events. However, even there, a lot of players focus on leveling.

Finally, if you have solutions or suggestions for changes, please create detailed threads so the staff can understand what you’re proposing.
That way, there's a clear direction for what you’d like to see improved.

If you want to help the server grow and attract more players, spread the word to your friends, family, and the younger generations. I myself am a result of that effort, and in the long run, I'm still here as a dedicated player.

Hello!

Base of our community already grow with family and a career / business and got busy in real life or moved on with their friends coz some of them got ban for cheating. New changes you will see pretty soon (October / November / December - 2024 - i don't know yet but i'm working on fixing complicated bugs on the new updates). We'd like to run huge updates every 1 or 2 years. Critical fixes and updates are released instantly.

Last big update was last year, on March 2023: https://forum.infinitymu.net/threads/premium-game-content-update-march-2-2023.133389/

Before that the biggest update was released in 2021:

Latest Game Updates:

Thank You!

First and foremost, there are many hidden updates we are working on, which you do not see. They are a work in progress (I can tell you kind of new and big updates may soon come), and as you see, we have active events and are brewing new ones. The problem often lies in some players, as it was mentioned, many of them are cheating and getting caught. When they do, more often than not they make useless drama, and during it they try and poison other players minds, making them not play the game because their own selfish agenda has been crushed. Those players must learn that things won't always go the way they want, there is no special treatment, not even for donors. Rules are meant to be followed. Do not get used to being spoiled. The world is not like that.

@Fedaikin, by the way, mind joining here if you are bored? :spinda-heart:

@RESiSTANT @Tobλ

that's right, I agree, something new is happening to you but the number of people server one update won't fix it

but it's time for you to notice that the server is not as active as before

I think it was necessary to increase activity many people become afk

I miss the old server, everyone was killing each other in the arena, give me back that server

I say this because I want this server

11 years was the life of a brave man

everyone misses those years

Infinitymu forever...!!!

Fedaikin,

Have you taken the time to read the responses above?
A lot of people have provided detailed explanations about why players have left and offered suggestions on how to attract them back, yet you seem to be ignoring those replies.

Simply put, we can't bring everything back to how it was—life moves forward, and things change.

MU community dies slowly, ANYWAY I believe old school gamers (Season 3 lovers) will remain and come back from time to time like it's always happening (i've seen it in the years), but still we have active players. Also not everyone can stay at PC in your timezone. I believe that Asian community (out of your active hours) is more active than EU (your timezone) - that's based on my reviews for game activity in different hours of the day. I'd say that covid-19 also affected gamers and their families to change jobs, find 2 or more jobs or failed their businesses to earn more income, personally I closed one of my working businesses in that period and I have seen many others who went from busines to a normal job, I presume your wish will become true in next covid-19 (please God, don't give us more punishments like this anymore) and in my forecast that will happen in Winter time (not covid, dooh, but more player activity).

Hi, others already explained everything. First time i've played InfinityMU was back in 2009.

You should be happy and thankful that this server is running without any wipes or shutdown for more than 15 years. (there is not a single other server that has achieved that)

We all have grow up, we have our families and our jobs.

Sometimes players leave but they always come back to play or visit the server after few months or years.

MU is a very old game indeed and thats why this game is not very popular in 2024, but i think Infinity MU still have the most active playerbase and community overall compared to any other private server.

Very strong and interesting points all around.
I've just been here for little over a month but I can totally see/understand everyone's point of view, but what stand out the most is the staff/players commitment and interest in the server which overall its a very good thing.

And while I can't really compare the current state of the server to previous years or even months due to lack of first hand experience.. I had an overall look at previous logs in events/threads such as top rankings in DS, TLV, and BC among others and I couldnt help but to notice that THIS current month is peaking in activity/competitiveness in comparisson for maybe even the whole last year.
Just thought that was an interesting thing to point out that, that is happening just the same month that this thread was made. A bit of a bright point in a sort of glass half-full / half-empty sort of situation.
